I contacted CBM PC Solutions through Thumbtack, and Carl, the owner came and picked up my laptop a few days later I can't reach him by email or phone.
I agreed to the repair estimate of $ 249.00, and sent him a deposit of $ 100.00. He indicated in the estimate that the replacement part would arrive in 3-4- business days. Sindce that time, I have called and left a couple of voicemails, because he never answers the published phone number. I have also sent him 2 emails expressing my frustrationa at his lack of communication, after receiving my deposit.
It has now been 15 days since I have received any communication from him.I am including the part number as provided by Carl as ASUS MOTHERBOARD 0M/AX-XXXX/AS X540BA. The payment was processed through Paypal.
I would like to get a call from the company either telling me that the laptop is not repairable, or that it is repaired, at which time it will be reurned to me. I am happy to pay the balance due, upon receipt of the repaired laptop.Customer Service should be about making the customer feel confident about using your product or service. Honest and truthful communication should be the cornerstone of establishing that level of comfort. I am experiencing Customer Dis-Service. I am in the service industry, for over thirtty years now. I have NEVER treated anyone this discourteously.If I can not do what the customer wants me to do, I will them up front, with a courteous explanation why not.
I certainly apologize about the experience that you had as it is always our intention to treat every customer with courtesy and respect. I want to acknowledge that we have received your emails and we had indeedrindeed to them as well but it seems there was an issue with our email service where emails were not going out for some reason and we just became aware of this a couple of days ago as it happened with another one of our customers. We are working hard to rectify the issue. Had you received our response you would have known that the motherboard took longer to arrive than we anticipated. We ordered the part on July 16th and it was scheduled to arrive July 20 but it didn't arrive until July 27th so we didn't receive it until July 28th. The repair was not completed until July 29th and we have already returned the laptop as of 2pm July 30, 2020.
Again we certainly apologize for the length of time that it took to get that laptop repaired.
