Catering by Jill, Inc

Review: On June 8th, 2012 I contracted Catering by Jill, Inc. to be the caterer for my daughter's ([redacted])wedding that was going to occur on Oct 19, 2013 at the [redacted]. I paid a $250.00 deposit. My daughter cancelled the wedding and I notified Catering by Jill on May 23, 2013. I spoke with the owner [redacted] who suggested that we wait about 3 weeks just in case she changed her mind. If the wedding remained cancelled, a refund would be issued. I called back the week of June 17th and confirmed the cancellation. Again, I spoke with [redacted] and he said he would issue a refund. By July 2nd, I had not received the refund so I called just to make sure it had not been lost in the mail or some other issue. I was told that they had not issued a check yet because [redacted] had been on vacation and one would go out within the next week. As of July 30th, 2013, I have not received a refund. I have called a couple of times and left messages but no one has returned by calls. I have also faxed a letter on 7/25 and again no returned calls. Assistance would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: Please just send a refund and/or communicate what the hold up is.

We spoke with the owner of the company who states that he mailed a [redacted] refund to the consumer on 07/29/2013.
