Review: 12/19/14
I have a complaint about the quality of your work performed on radiator covers for my company. When I originally inquired to Cassidy Painting I was directed to [redacted] for sandblasting, priming and painting. I was quoted for 25 covers. I and another of my men carefully packed and delivered the covers to your site. [redacted] from Cassidy office kindly directed us where to go and informed one of you [redacted]s in the back to come get the covers,. [redacted] left and the [redacted] just threw a pallet on the ground and told us to place them on there. No help. We carefully place all 25 covers on the pallet making sure that they were not dented or bent. We asked the [redacted] to be careful with them as well
. I picked them up 12/19/14 and asked [redacted] if he could have somebody help load them for me prior to my coming there. I bought two 200 ft rolls of 1/2 bubble wrap to protect the newly painted covers. After paying for the covers John took me to the back where they were strewn about on boards outside on unpaved ground. They were wet and filthy with dirt and grit all over them. I noticed that there were bends and dents on some as well. I pointed all of this out to John and he said " I didn't see them when you brought them in.". John said "well where did you want me to put them to dry ?" I said inside and protected. They came out of a over $1,000,000 house in Hockessin ! Being in the mechanical/building trades for over 40 years I replied that you wouldn't take covers out of a building and lay them on the ground to dry would you.? The area was contaminated with sandblasting nearby which I pointed out and the wind was kicking up dirt from the ground. I asked " you want me to clean them ?' He threw a tantrum and told me to " get my [redacted] radiator covers and get the [redacted] out ! " He did have the [redacted]s wipe most of them down but not all. I had to load all 25 by myself just coming off a surgery 2 days ago as he knew. Upon inspecting the covers I also found rust spots from leaving them outside in the rain as well as some paint runs. While all of the above could have been avoided on your part no effort was made. Now I ask, would you like to be treated this way and shouldn't you have addressed the problems? Something has got to be done to rectify this and We really don't need to deal with John. We had seen your advertising of the quality you did in this area and must say the quality and the narrative don't match. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I have to clean these "professionally" painted covers of grit , grime and risk scratching the surface by cleaning such. There are bends and dents on the product not present when delivered. These came directly off walls of a custom build home from the late 50's and obviously were flat to fit properly. The house is located in [redacted]. They are all 8 to 12 acre lots. Many successful community leaders live there. They were delivered with a witness and the non- English speaking [redacted] who were requested to receive them, were informed to handle carefully. When the dents and bends are removed the covers will need to be repainted. ...the original cost of @ $2700.00 . I could the covers professionally painted by a painting contractor since the entire house is to be painted. This is schlock and I cannot trust them to repair or repaint same. I can't believe that the the answer that was given , the service provided , and the poor quality work.
Please excuse the aforementioned language but it was to render the attitude of [redacted] representing Cassidy Painting and Sandblasting. The contractor on the jor [redacted] whod does work for [redacted] etc will be notified as well so as not to be duped as I was. Thank You
