Cartier Nails & Spa Reviews (%countItem)

First off let me say I made my initial appointment, called back and asked to please be put with someone who takes their time. I told her I was picky and I am not familiar with the nail techs there. She told me "Ok I'll take you from the person you were schedule with and put you with me, I'm the most experienced here"
I stressed I am picky about my nails and really want someone who does a good job.

I get there for 4:45 to soak my nails, my appointment was for 5:15pm. She had me move to her table, and I showed her what I initially wanted. Standard white tip only the tip is in a "V" shape and add some small beads to the inner line of the "V". She was hesitant, clue #1 this isn't going to end well. She liked the other photo I had and said it would be easier "for her", so I said "OK I like that one" so we went with HER choice.

I made her aware that my ring fingers have a very small curve below the cuticle so you have to manipulate the tip so it's not crooked. She understood. I had to have her remove 2 tips because she said "MY NAILS" are crooked....LOL No my nails on my pointer finger are not crooked. She didn't take her time. From the start she was in a hurry, she didn't take her time and measure the tips to my finger width so about 6 out of 10 of my tips are way to small for my finger nails to the point that my natural nails are showing and the tip does not cover my entire nail bed.

Then rather than lightly file the tips to blend them with my natural nails before applying the powder dip. As a result the nail tip is higher than my natural nail bed causing a rather large noticable dip in the middle of all my finger nails. Now instead of just applying the gel base to the tip of the nail on which is the FIRST step of applying SNS powder she applies it to the whole nail.

My nails look HORRIFIC. My husband of all people when I came home said "OMG Good God, what happened to your nails"? Yes, he even knows they look like garbage. I'm disgusted I will be paying to have them redone!

Cartier Nails & Spa Response • Aug 11, 2020

ID #: ***On behalf of Cartier Nails & Spa team, I would like to
apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Below, please kindly
find a statement from the employee that worked with *** on August 7, 2020. *** received nail services at Cartier Nails & Spa
in Appleton, WI on August 7, 2020. *** is not a regular customer at this
shop. On the morning of August 7, she called the shop to schedule an
appointment to get her nails done. She stated she is EXTREMELY PICKY, VERY OCD,
and pointed out she has 4 crooked fingers and wanted to work with someone who
is more experienced, even though she has never been to our shop. Ms. also made
it a point that she has been to other shops and was unhappy with their services.
Ms. mentioned in her complaint that I said “I’m the most experienced here.”
This statement is false; other staff and clients were present; they did not
hear me say that and I did not say that. The policy of our shop is, when you
are not a regular customer, you will get appointed to the next available nail
tech, unless you specifically request for a certain nail tech. Ms. arrived at 5:05PM, NOT 4:45PM like she stated in
her complaint. I, Song Vang, was the nail tech that worked with Ms. that
day. When I brought her to my station, Ms. showed me the photo of what she
wanted, which consisted of standard white tip with a “V” shape pattern. She
wanted studs lining the “V” shape. I told her we have the studs available and I
was also able to fulfill her pattern design. Ms. was undecided and continues
to show me other nail art that she was interested in getting done. Her second
choice was light pink with her ring finger and pointer finger ombre glitter. I
mentioned to her I was able to do that as well. I told her, she can choose whichever
design she would like done, the ombre glitter would be easier for me. After I told
her that, SHE made the decision on her own to go with the pink and glitter ombre.
Ms.’s ring finger and pointer finger were very crooked, making it hard for
me to apply the tips on the first time. After she pointed out her two crooked fingers
had crooked tips applied, I took the tips off and re-applied the tips, making appropriate
adjustments to make them look straight. Before I re-apply the new tips on with
glue, I had the owner, May Vue, and Ms. verify and approve that this was
acceptable. Ms. mentioned in her complaint I did not take my time. The
dipping powder process usually takes 45-60 minutes. I started working on Ms.
***’s fingers at approximately 5:15PM and ended at 6:40PM. This is an hour and
a half service. It should not have taken this long but due to her unusually complicated
fingers and with the knowledge that she is a very picky customer, I took more
than enough time to satisfy her. Throughout the process, I constantly ask her
if she is ok with my work, such as nail shape and color choice. Ms. tells
me everything looks great and that she is happy I understood her OCD condition. Ms. mentioned she is very unhappy, yet she tipped me $10
and paid her service willingly. She left happy and did not mention any concerns
while at the shop. As a nail tech, we can only do so much. If she was unhappy,
she would not tip $10 and would have complained to the owner at the time of
completion.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First off lets get your story straight, I did arrive at 4:45 I hung up the phone with my Mom as I was walking in. Another person told you I was here while you were with someone else and you said "Oh yeah she's early". You finished the other customer while I soaked my nails. Let's not lie about what took place after reading your reply I am even more angry then I was. There is a lot of "added information" your story that did not take place. Lying is not good customer service. My attached photos will show the ridiculous job done on my nails as well as the job I had to repay at another salon. And by the way I went into that nail salon and told them I needed my nails removed and a new set put on, they took one look at them and was appalled at the botched job that was done on my nails. They did not believe at first I had these done at an actual salon they thought I did them myself.curve

Lets state the FACTS, because your lies are just that LIES. Both my ring fingers have a SLIGHT curve at my first knuckle. Since math isn't your strong suit BOTH=2 NOT 4 fingers that you so nicely falsely said I told you. Yes, you removed two tips because you put them on crooked and then explained the botched job with dips in my nails were because my nails have dips in them. That was funny I must say. There are NO dips in my nails and you will see that in the CORRECT job I had to pay someone else to do. If you look closely at my bad job you did in the attached photos you will see chips taken out because you had the drill on high to quickly sand my nails down.

As stated I won't be back I just want my refund especially since I had to pay another salon to fix your terrible job. And yes I tipped her because I was in the service industry for years and if your paid what I was then you work off your tips and I would NEVER stiff someone a tip even IF I HATED the service. I know they survive off their tips, so don't think because I tipped you I liked the job. And lastly I DID tell you about all the dips in my nails and you chose to tell me its my nails and not take responsibility for your terrible job. I have about 6 more photos but I could not add them to this complaint to show you the terrible service provided.

Regards

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I agree I need to be refunded and I did leave a VM for the attorney to email me what they want signed if its cut and dry I will sign it if not I will then send to my attorney to look at it.

I attached more photos showing where yes you do have complaints; you have a 4.1 decent but not a 4.9 like you say you do. Many other experienced the same issues I did.

I will look over the document once its emailed to me from their attorney and I will go from there
