Review: Laminate flooring installed in my home has started to show cupping ,warping etc. Results recently discovered of moisture tests were improperly administered in my home. Test reading was way above recommended levels and not done correctly according to regulations. Laminate was installed anyway and now has damage in several areas of my home. Manufacturer wont cover warranty due to installer not following recommendations. Carpeteria One has failed twice to return calls from Small Claims mediation process and not offering any assistance in resolving flooring installation or damage. Entire home with exception of laundry room and bathrooms have laminate now and is only a year and half old. Carpeteria gave me a 10 year warranty and the manufacturer has a 25 year warranty.Desired Settlement: Request to have entire kitchen re-done in poreclain and proper moisture test done again to ensure all areas of house will not have any future issues. To include all fees to remove and install all areas that may be affected by moisture.

Response:
To Whom This May Concern - After we first heard word from [redacted] issues, we hired an independent inspector to perform an inspection (Apparently [redacted] tried contacting our sales associate directly, who is no longer with us). This independent inspector concluded that [redacted] used an excessive amount of water on top of his laminate which caused the issues he is seeing. Even though this is a maintenance issue and is not covered under warranty per the manufacturer, we are still willing to help [redacted] We will either replace the damaged laminate, or look to offer an upgrade to porcelain tile in the kitchen at no additional charge.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Regards,
[redacted]As noted in the response from Carpeteria One. (or look to offer an upgrade to porcelain tile in the kitchen at no additional charge.) I accept the offer if my entire kitchen floors are done with the same porcelain tile as my laundry room. But no one has contacted me with regards to this. This needs to include a proper moisture test.[redacted]
