Carolina Renovations

I was want to renovate my bathroom. The contractor came and gave me an estimate on the renovation. I gave him a deposit for the work but while talking to the contractor I began to feel uneasy about him and the work he was going to do. So while he was still in my driveway, I text him and told him that I change my mind and didn't feel comfortable, since service for his phone is poor he didn't receive the text until 15 minutes later in which he called me. He tried to bully me a little to kinda force me into staying with him but I again told him the next morning around 7:30 am that I am going to stick to my decision to not have him to do the work and that I didn't feel comfortable with him. When I looked on my credit card statement on September 4, 2018, he went ahead and had charged the amount of 2669.60 on Aug 8, 2018, and never returned the funds. I have called him several times and also my credit card and reported him but at the time I called it had not shown up so the clerk assumed he did not charge it. I did this on the same day I called him because I did not trust him this was on
August 08, 2018. He will not answer the phone or contact me or return the amount and the bank is investigating.
