Regards,
D*** B***Carolina Home repair fraudulently represented themselves as a licensed contractor that could do the work requested and many times said the work would be done in a timely mannerI was never told about his employees quitting nor is it relevant to getting the job done in a timely mannerAlso the electrical work that they did was not done by a licensed electricianThe contract signed with Carolina Home Repair is not valid as they do not have the proper licenses to do the jobA refund was offered but after several calls they will no longer answer my callsAlso my money should be available immediately since it was not used on my job

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  Mr. K[redacted]'s response is full of lies. #1)  Mr. K[redacted] never made us aware of a post date.  To the extent of our awareness, the funds were supposed to be available to us immediately as of the day Mr. K[redacted] quit on November 2nd, 2017.  He delayed and did not provide us the check until November 22nd, 2017, citing many excuses day-to-day.  Numerous documented instances of his delays can be further provided to the Revdex.com upon request. #2)  Our attorney would be more than happy to contact the Revdex.com and provide documentation that not only have we tried to reach out to Mr. K[redacted], but our attorney has tried to also reach him.  Every attempt has been met with unanswered phone calls. #3)  Mr. K[redacted] has our contact information.  When we disputed the amount of the refund he was giving us in his office, he handed Mr. V[redacted] a purple post-it note upon which Mr. V[redacted] wrote our Hawaiian address with the purpose, as Mr. K[redacted] had said when handing over the post-it note, to provide us "our additional refund" because of the dispute over the amount of the refund. For the unethical practices and lies Mr. K[redacted] has exhibited, we expect the full refund. At a minimum, we would accept no less than $1137.  When this contract was executed on September 26th, 2017, Mr. K[redacted] verbally voiced that he'd only charge us for his cost of the paint - $30 / gallon.  At 5 gallons, that's $150.  The cost of the bounced check was $12.  $1275 - $150 + $12 = $1137. Furthermore, his withholding of $569.93 from the original check computes to $113.99/gallon!  His response in his office was he was charging us that amount because "he had to."  When asked immediately about the above math, he could not answer.  He typed $60 x 5 upon his calculator and came up with $300, and said he couldn't answer us.  It was at that point he provided the aforementioned post-it note for our address to issue us further refunds.  Upon every communciation that has occurred, including both when he quit and upon discussing the check in his office, we have demanded each time an itemized invoice that would display the paint cost receipt.  None have been provided. Legal footnote was handwritten onto Mr. K[redacted]'s form in his office to the extent that the check amount was not acceptable pending the invoice described above. We will attempt to contact him one more time only, in good faith as he has dared to say that we have not been trying to contact him, but any less than outlined above is not acceptable in this situation after six months. Regards,
K[redacted] & M[redacted]

Yes I would like to pursue a partial refund from the Company.

I have been in contact with Mr and Mrs J[redacted] and agreed to give them a refund for the work not completed before she made this complaint. I spoke with Mrs J[redacted] and explained our situation as transparent as I possibly could. She has been made aware that in the past 6 months we have become extremely...

short handed and we are working with our customers the best we can with the labor we have left, after speaking with them we both mutually agreed that it would be best to part ways and I would refund them for the work that hasn’t been completed. I have turned this over to my bookkeeper and my attorney to process the refund and to insure both Mrs. J[redacted]s and my companies best interest are met.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, Please let us know below why you are rejecting the offer made by the business.] I am rejecting S[redacted]'s response because he did agree to refund us our money on 2/12/18. Today is 3/13/18 and we have yet to receive our refund. We have followed up with him weekly and requested a tracking number. He continuously states that "the check is in the mail". We would like a refund- we can pick it up in person or would like a tracking number of it being mailed certified. He has lied to us continuously. Best Regards, C[redacted] J[redacted]

When I attempted to pull the permits I was informed by the county permit office that Mr b[redacted] does not have legal right of way to his property and that the property is zoned for a single dwelling and they would not issue the permit. I have...

documentation from the county to prove this.. at this time we modified the contract and went in a new direction. Do to conflicts in schedule and loss of employees we fell way behind on this project and this is why I was in agreement to end the contract and let Mr B[redacted] find someone else to finish the project. As far as my license he is parcelly correct when he says I am not licensed to do the work, my company partners with [redacted] on any project outside of my license and furthermore I would not have been able to attempt to pull a permit if I didn’t. I am working with my Attorneys as well as my CPA to give Mr B[redacted] the agreed upon refund, once it is prepared by my attorney to protect both parties interest Mr B[redacted] will receive the refund.
