I paid $1500 which is 50% of the total services due on 8/25/17 to install a new door. The service was to be complete within 2 weeks and Mr. J G never installed the door to my nail salon as discussed on invoice. I tried to contact him multiple times and he no response. I had friends call and he answered the first time and delayed the services. When they would call back he will not answer. As of now he no longer accepts any of my phone calls. He still has not installed the door and will not return any phone calls. The two contact numbers I have for him are: (864) ***- *** and (864) ***-***. He has not returned my money.
when a customer complains about something please tell the truth. we explained to s*** that her door is a special order and would take some time to receive. there is a clause on the policy she signed of no returns on special order products.
trying to make her happy we agreed to return her deposit. Her deposit is being processed at this time.
Hi K, I realized that Carolina Glass return my money but I have not yet recieve. I was supposed to get my money on the 7th of this months and is the 26th, it should have not take this long to recieve my money. Thank you.
We hired Carolina Glass and Storefronts, LLC to replace 4 single pane glass panels and 2 sets of sliding glass doors that separated the back porch from the living room/dinning room area. J G, owner, hand wrote a proposal, showed it to me, and then took it back with home him. He never provided a typewritten /letterhead replacement for the quote. He took a year to fully order all materials stating that the "handles" which are pockets were broken, that the custom sized doors took a long time to order, that he was sick, etc.
His very inexperienced crew of a former cable door-to-door salesman and a tree cutter plus a guy with some carp*** experience came to take down the existing panels with no replacements on hand. They covered the hole with plastic and returned about 2-3 weeks later to install the panels. They anchored one of the four 200 lb panels with a 4 inch bolt that was threaded less than 1/2 inch into the ceiling. When the experienced guy called to ask if the bolt was enough to hold the panel's weight, J told the worker to leave as is. Much later, we documented with photographs the poor and unsafe work when we hired someone to take it down and re-install correctly.
In Sept. 2017 -13 months after Carolina Glass to perform the work, the doors were finally received. J would not wait for me to leave work and meet him at the house on the date of the door install. He asked what did I want him to do, install or quit the job. I told him I would hire someone else to put the doors in. He left the doors plus parts at the house and later bill me without any show of receipts for $7000. I asked for receipts to understand why the costs were so high. J refused to supply any and then threated to take a lien against the house if I didn't pay. I hired an attorney who did a background search and checked his contractor's license. J does not have a contractor's license to install glass and he has been in arrears with glass suppliers for nonpayment (this information is searchable on the Spartanburg County courthouse website). Without a license, J cannot take any actions to file a lien.
Another customer at a church school provided a YELP review that related a similar experience regarding tearing out doors, leaving a hole, then taking a very long time to install replacements. J's response to the review was that the woman who wrote the review talked about drinking more than anything.
In June approximately I contracted with the business for 3 double glass window panels that will take 3 weeks for delivery and installation.
One delay after another and one excuse after another, first they cannot install and now the problem is for delivery.
They say they will deliver and then they don't.
I paid over $900.00 and cannot finish the renovation without the glass panels.
Return the money paid ASAP.
I do not believe they have the glass panels.
we spoke with her on the 12TH and set up a delivery time for the 14th . she filed a complaint on the 13Th. windows were delivered as we planed on the 14th to m*** c*** per mrs. h
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

Windows were received. Need to check that the cc was not charged again, since the initial estimate was for installation included.
