Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/06/25) */
Dear Sir or Madam:
This is the first correspondence received from the Revdex.com regarding this case. I take pride in our exemplary record and had I received any correspondence prior to this, you would have heard from me...
immediately, as you are today.
Ms. [redacted]'s version of what happened is a bit different from mine, all disagreements are.
We did respond the first time at her verbal request to repair the roof for $300.00. (Our standard roof repair of roofs not applied by our company is $450.00). The valley to the rear of the garage was obviously poorly repaired, exacerbating the problem by the handyman and the original improper application of the valley by an unknown was corrected.
Ms. [redacted] had asked that we clean out the gutters while there (we are NOT in the gutter cleaning business) but as a courtesy the gutters were blown free of leaves.
Upon receiving the second call, Ms. [redacted] informed us the roof was leaking in front of the valley and she would leave the man door on the rear of the garage open for the roofer. She was told at that time the repair would be $450.00. She, again, asked that we clean her gutters. For esthetic purposes, the roofer went through great care to repair the valley without having to replace the shingles. Sadly, the roofer, unaccustomed to cleaning gutters, forgot to clean them. Ms. [redacted] left a check for $400.00 and under the circumstances of her ongoing roofing problems I said nothing, accepting the lesser amount.
When Ms. [redacted] called to report that her gutters had not been cleaned, I told her I would see what I could do. Before I could get that issue resolved she called to inform me she had paid someone $80.00 and expected me to reimburse her. I told her at that time that would be highly unlikely but I would discuss it with the roofer that did the second repair.
The roofer offered to come back in late Fall and clean them at no cost. I had written a letter to Ms. [redacted] to that effect, but before I could mail it to her she contacted the Revdex.com.
My offer of our cleaning her gutters in late Fall free of charge stands. She is welcome to call us in October for an appointed time. I hope that she will accept this offer and consider the matter solved.
