Review: I signed a contract for my daughter to play competitive soccer with this club. My child was placed on a developmental team. The club, via the coach, is supposed to develop my child as a soccer player. Our coach was an inexperienced teenager with no oversight from the experienced coaches. Her job per their website was to, "be recognized as a Pioneering Leader in total player development at local, regional and national levels, building character, confidence and self-esteem."The coach was outwardly hostile toward my daughter, always putting her in to play in games last in both halves of the game. I was told by a senior coach, Brad Green, that each child should be playing at least half of the game. He went on to say, that is how they learn; it's the way we develop players.The coach, Daisy, would put my daughter in the game for 10 minutes maximum of a 50 minute game. Because it was every game, the other children saw the pattern and started treating her poorly. I had to leave after game one of a three game tournament when Daisy told my daughter that they lost because she wasn't playing hard enough. This is emotional abuse of an eight-year-old girl.I requested my daughter be moved to the recreational side of the club where I knew a coach who would help rebuild my daughter's self esteem. They moved her to the other team. The cost of club soccer was $1070. The cost of recreational soccer was $180. We moved over before the season even began. I requested a refund of half of my original fees. I felt this was more than generous considering the abuse from her coach, and the complete lack of oversight from the club resulting in such pain and frustration for our family.Desired Settlement: I would like half of the fees I paid to be refunded to mien the amount of $535. This leaves the club with $535 which more than covers the non-refundable registration fee and the $180 for the recreational season.
