Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we...
would like to know your view on the matter.]I do not accept the response made by the respondent. The respondent omitted relevant information. Initially, I attempted to resolve the issue by offering to pay something for the redrawing of which, she flatly refused. At the time of pick up I did not say "thank you" I acknowledge that I did pay her and took the piece but I wanted to be polite and not insult the artist. My initial reaction was this is a portrait not a caricature. Also, the artist forgot to put "Dr." on the drawing so we had to go to the store and purchase a pen. Further, the artist covered up the last name "[redacted] with the stethoscope cord after I specifically stated that I wanted the name in my original email at the time of ordering. After, the failed attempt at resolution I was stuck with the portrait. Several weeks later when I attempted to frame it I discovered that the drawing was positioned disproportionately on the paper and would not look acceptable when framed. The following direct quote acknowledges that the respondent would have positioned it properly had I purchased the matting. I had clearly stated that I would be professionally framing the piece at the time of ordering thus she should have positioned it correctly. "Had you purchased the matting I offered, I would have made sure nothing was "cut off" when I positioned the paper."The above line clearly states that she did not position it correctly.Regarding the respondent's response that I was comparing full body images I was not. The relevant point is I expected a caricature in the spirit of what was displayed on her website. Instead, she provided a portrait. The refund policy is not even applicable in this matter because the respondent provided a defective piece that is a portrait and not a caricature. The reasoning of a refund will not be provided because others may find is nothing but an excuse. It is unfortunate that the respondent refuses to acknowledge any accountability despite the numerous errors. It is evident that the respondent does not take any responsibility for the defective piece despite my attempt at a compromise.Had you purchased the matting I offered, I would have made sure nothing was "cut off" when I positioned the paper.Regards,[redacted]
