The two vehicles that Ms. [redacted] was financing through Smart Choice Auto Group were repossessed for default of contract because of separate reasons. First, the [redacted] was involved in a collision and towed to our facility which was later deemed as a total loss. At the time of the loss, Ms....
[redacted] failed to maintain financial responsibility and our collateral was not covered by her insurance provider leaving Smart Choice Auto Group with a vehicle that was totaled without any cooperation from Ms. [redacted] on how she would like to fix the car. On January 23rd, 2017 Smart Choice Auto Group deemed this account as a bad debt and subsequently charged it off from their books. Secondly, the [redacted] Ms. [redacted] purchased from us was not repossessed because of their actions with the first vehicle, but because this account had defaulted on payment and failure to provide financial responsibility. The fact that this vehicle defaulted on insurance and payment was substantial basis for repossession.Indeed the two cars were under two different loans and both accounts defaulted prompting Smart Choice Auto to Group proceed with repossession proceedings. When it comes down to Ms. [redacted]' concern about reporting the repossession to the credit bureau agencies the following actions have/will take place:1. The [redacted] regarding this matter was repossessed from client on January 15, 20172. The client was given twenty (20) days to provide pay-off of the vehicle in full minus interest to redeem the vehicle 3. The twenty days were up on February 2nd, 2017 and the account was deemed as a bad debt4. On February 6th, 2017 the vehicle was reported as a charge off on behalf of the client from Smart Choice Auto Group5. It takes approximately thirty (30) days from the reporting date for this information to reflect the client's credit bureau's Smart Choice Auto Group is willing to provide documentation of insurance cancellation from client's insurance provider and also proof of non-payment on above mentioned account that started repossession proceedings.
