As an employee to the district I was told we would only pay $35 copay. I have a wart on my thumb and to save money I chose this facility versus a specialist which is $75. I received a bill for more than I was expected. I called the business to clarify and was immediately rejected and said because it was not an office visit but a procedure. I wish someone would have informed me before and I would have gladly gone to a specialist who would have actually gotten the work done correctly. The person who assisted me was very rude, she told me I should have gone to a specialist and that I must pay the remainder balance or she will turn me over to collections.
The day of the service, the can the nurse practitioner was using did not have a working tip, she then sprayed my finger three times from a distance, which barely even sprayed my finger. The 'procedure? was a complete waste of time and money, which it did not do anything for me. I tried to explain that to the business but the lady again yelled at me and said it is still my responsibility. I was very upset and disappointed on how awful the service of the professional and the staff was handled.

Billing Adjustment I paid my $35 copay, which is a fair amount for the wasted time and ineffectiveness of want I wanted taken care of. I would like the remainder balance of $53.61 be written off please.
I have written-off the balance owed and forwarded a letter of apology to the patient. The balance owed was not a result of us billing more it was a result of her insurance plan's adjudication process. The patient always receives a copy of the insurance carrier's explanation of benefit but obviously failed to read its explanation. The first we heard of any dissatisfaction with our service was when the collection process began. We were never given the opportunity to address her dissatisfaction.
