I had a procedure performed at Fannin Surgicare in Fannin Surgicare required me to pay a certain amount before the procedure could be performed I over paid by $ I called multiple times to request a refund and a check was mailed However, I moved and this check was misplaced I found it a couple of months ago and since it didn't say "void if not cashed in days" I thought the check was good I went to my bank and cashed it It was returned to the bank due to stop payment I called on 9/and spoke to Deadra [redacted] in collections and she said they would send me another check but I also asked for a refund of the $my bank charged me for stop paymentShe said a supervisor would call meShe did a couple of days later but said the check was voided after months and they are not required to put "void if not cashed after days" on a check nor are they required to notify me that they stopped payment on the check She said they would not refund me the $ I as
