Dear Revdex.com,I have received the message from the manager at Car X and I have called him back twice Monday 11/21/& 11/22/ He has not answered my call or message.I would appreciate if he issues a check to me for the amount I am requesting Sincerely, [redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:First of all, all 12 of my car's oil changes were performed at that location. If the head had been stripped it is their fault and no one else's, although I do not believe I was shown my drain plug. I was shown one they had on the shelf in the garage. They also recommended about 600-700 in repairs I do not need. I still want my money back because of the principle. The whole thing is a scam and needs to be stopped.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
The head of the drain plug on Mr. [redacted] 2012 [redacted] was stripped when it was brought in for an oil change on 4/11/16. The old drain plug was showed to Mr. [redacted], and he agreed that the head of the drain plug was stripped. Although the drain plug could have been reinstalled into the oil pan,...
removing it the following oil change would be extremely difficult. It was explained to Mr. [redacted] that if the drain plug is reinstalled, the following oil service the oil pan may have to be removed to remove the stripped drain plug. Mr. [redacted] authorized the new drain plug, as well as installing a new air filter he provided, and a cabin air filter provided by [redacted]. [redacted] followed up with Mr. [redacted] at 3 PM on 4/14/16 and discussed his experience, and posed the question of how we can earn his satisfaction so this matter can be resolved. Mr. [redacted] stated that he is not satisfied as the drain plug is a "scam." Mr. [redacted] has been advised that a new drain plug was installed in the oil pan of his 2012 Sonata, and that he authorized the repairs at the time of service. In addition, the disputed amount is incorrect. The drain plug was discounted to $5 from the original $8 price. For the reasons listed above we cannot issue Mr. [redacted] a refund for the drain plug.
