If there were any mechanical problems with the car, the vehicle is covered by a warranty There is no right to return a vehicle after it is purchased in the state of Illinois The Retail Installment Contract is bindingHowever, we will gladly inspect the vehicle and make any necessary repairs under the warranty

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: I had advised the caroutlet several of times I can not recieve calls between the hours of 8am-5pm during my work hours Yet and still they continued to contact me as well as at my employer after I advised I was unable to get calls The Car Outlet also went so far as contacting my references I listed on my application suggesting that I if I hadn't paid them they will just take it out of my check Calling my references and advising them of my debts was not acceptable I tried to call and complain and speak with someone and was advised my account will be noted and gotten hung up onAlso if I was suggesting an emergency and advsed can make a payment on 10/16/why was someone sent to my home prior to then with an attempt to collect a debt that was already arranged to be paid on 10/16/? and if im suggesting I can make a payment on a certain date and that date is agreed upon I dont see any reason for there to be any further collection activity or any other communication unless that arrangment was not kept honestly if your employers at caroutlet were not so rude I would have called in but everytime I spoke to someone it was unpleasant so I called made arrangments and left it at that did not expect for things to go the way they did or for caroutlet to act and do what was done Sincerely, Oceanna ***

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 15, 2015/07/31) */ Please be advised that there hundreds of different issues (mostly minor) that will cause a vehicle's Check Engine Light to come onJust because it illuminated multiple times does not mean that it was the same issue (or that we were not adequately repairing it)We apologize for the inconvenience

Under the terms of the contract, there is no requirement that we must wait days to repossess the vehicle The customer's account was days past due when the account was repossessed, we did not have a working phone number for the customer, and the employment information she provided at the time of sale turned out to be inaccurate

The vehicle came with a month/3,mile warranty Car was purchased approximately months ago While the account is days past due, the customer is encouraged to contact our service department to have the vehicle inspected We are willing to work with the customer to make any necessary repairs However, the customer will also have to bring his account current

Please be advised that all pertinent information regarding the purchase of the vehicle, including the cost, the interest rate, the amount financed, the term and the total cost is disclosed to the customer on the first page of the contract in the manner required by the Federal Truth In Lending
Act. At the time of the sale, Ms*** initialed this page and signed the last page of the contract. Further, the information regarding the warranty on the vehicle, including its length of coverage as well as covered systems, is also disclosed at the time of sale on a form that Mr*** signed

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/08/06) */
All of the pertinent information regarding the purchase of the vehicle, including the sales price, the APR, the monthly payment, and the total of payments is disclosed prominently on the first page of the contract in the federally mandated Truth
In Lending DisclosureThe customer initialed this page, signed the contract, as well as the numerous other documents necessary for the purchase of the carAt any point in time, if he had any concerns regarding the terms, he could have simply refused to sign

We have never claimed that our address was what was concerning about the customer's review. However, instructing the public as to which doors of an office building may be unlocked is purposeful and maliciousThe grace period ONLY applies to the late fee. So while we are not permitted under the law to charge a late fee until the account is days past due, we are still well within our rights to repossess the vehicle once it is even one day past due. As the customer was in default under the contract, we were well within our rights to repossess the vehicle

Ms*** is also a former employee of our company. The reviews that she posted constituted a security risk by disclosing how other customers would be able to enter our main office building. The review sites have already determined the reviews to be inappropriate and took them
down. Ms*** account was past due, and as such, she was in default of her contract, when her vehicle was repossessed

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: for starters the company posts the address of the building on *** and on all of the letters they send out in regards to correspondentsIt's no secret where anyone can enter the buildingThere's obviously an entranceSecondly, the reviews are still up I literally just saw them right nowWith that being said you easily conclude that company is willing to lie to get there wayMyself bring a former employee is very aware of thatThirdly, the company offers a day grace period to make a payment without any late fees aded to the accountMy car was repossessed wrongfully at days of the day grace periodLet me inform you that I would have never needed a grace periodThe December bill come out of my check and my account was up to date at that momentIn that same month of December I was let go and in that same month I applied for a deferment which my account was still up to dateI was told by the account representative that the deferment would be approved if there was a source of income from either the buyer or the co buyerSo the account representative did a employment verification for myself and my husband and said that we were fine and he would begin the submitting processMind you this was all in the month of December in which my account was still up to dateIt was weeks that I keep calling about the deferment but I kept getting the run around and the same responses that it takes time and that I should know how things areWell infact I do know how things are and I know that a deferment only takes a week tops to be approvedSo because of their lack of productivity in failing to even process my deferment which is only even step after employment verification that my account leaked into the grace period of days when the car was repossessedlastly, on the 5th day of the grace period I got fed up and left a review which I'm entitled to express my opinionSome time after the review was posted Dan the collections general manager called me and said ,"I saw your review and we would like to work something outI'm going to accept your deferment of days but I need you to take down the review." I respond and said I actually need a day deferment he agrees to do so and even gave me my next due dateSo I said thankyou I will take down the review and followed through with what I saidAbout an hour after Dan talked to me I called the account representative just to verify again that the deferment was approved and he then said that deferment was approved for the days that that was what the notes showedThe next morning while I was on my way to work my car was goneUpon a visit to the police station they informed me that my car infact got repossessed by total financeI called the redemption department and spoke with JosephineShe said there was not one note in the system that the car was repossessed and that she did not know any informationShe then further investigated and infact found that the car was repossessedI spoke with Joel and was told the my car was repossessed because total finance did not want to finance me any longerI was told to get my car back I needed to find an alternative financierso to discredit what was just said in this email by total finance that the car was repossessed because if a past due balance my car was repossessed because they felt the need to stop financing my carHowever, I know the real reason they did so was because of the review.
Sincerely,
Cathy ***

adequately repairing it). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Mr. [redacted]'s documents were signed in English and Spanish.  The vehicle was covered with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty.  Most of these issues would be covered by the warranty, though the issues with the rear doors simply sound like the child-safety locks were engaged, which prevents...

children from opening the rear doors from inside the car.  Mr. [redacted] has had the vehicle for one year - and the vehicle was covered under the warranty during the entire time.

I am rejecting this response because: I was misinformed verbally, also nothing was sent via mail to me and last but not least I received misleading info by the sales man and the day that my vehicle was repoed I was hit with a ticket apparently the repo man took a red light on 07/17/2016 which caused me a 100.00 ticket I believe your company doesn't practice well on the way sales are made and also you trick people into getting cars only to take them back at this point I can follow through with a lawsuit AS I HAVE PROOF OF THE DISHONESTY FROM THIS COMPANY
Sincerely,
Maritza [redacted]

Car Outlet also went so far as contacting my references I listed on my application suggesting that I if I hadn't paid them they will just take it out of my check . Calling my references and advising them of my debts was not acceptable I tried to call and complain and speak with someone and was advised my account will be noted and gotten hung up on. Also if I was suggesting an emergency and advsed can make a payment on 10/16/2015 why was someone sent to my home prior to then with an attempt to collect a debt that was already arranged to be paid on 10/16/2015.. ?  and if im suggesting I can make a payment on a certain date and that date is agreed upon I dont see any reason for there to be any further collection activity or any other communication unless that arrangment was not kept . honestly if your employers at caroutlet were not so rude I would have called in but everytime I spoke to someone it was unpleasant so I called made arrangments and left it at that . did not expect for things to go the way they did or for caroutlet to act and do what was done
