Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below I am perfectly aware that there is no monetary recourse after the thirty day period That's why I wrote, called and emailed in May and gave the sellers plenty of time to at least speak with me over the phone regarding the problems with the car They never responded The car DIDN'T pass inspection within the days I waited eight weeks for the check engine light to go off before I could get it to pass The worn, cracked timing belt that had been on the car since was an obvious issue at the time of sale It has since cost one thousand dollars to fix The code history on the car indicated that it had always coded for a blown catalytic converter The car is now drivable with a new timing belt but will not pass any future inspections without a new catalytic converter - cost roughly $ Both of these major repairs were foreseeable at the time of sale Everything I wrote was true and it's unfortunate that it took a public complaint to get any response from the sellers Regards, [redacted] ***

The consumer states she waited until May 2015 to contact me. The car purchased in January 2015. I clearly told her if it failed inspection , to contact me. I personally have never heard of an engine light going off on it's own. Any car dealership or certified shop can attest to this. The consumer gain stated the car was running excellent upon delivery. I drove it 100 miles from [redacted] to [redacted], **. Again you can not for see if a timing belt or catalytic converter is defective. If the car was running excellent how would I know to check these parts. The customer had the opportunity to produce a car fax before the sale. She gave me a car fax in May 2015, I never said I ran one. I have never had a complaint regarding my business, If she had called me in a timely manner I would have helped her mechanically. She spoke ill of my business, I was not going to respond after the long period of time ( 4 months) according to Mass Laws. I did not intentionally sell her a defective vehicle, my reputation is flawless. I do regret the situation.
This Letter is in response to a complaint filed against our car finding business. I would like to start by saying our company has a great reputation, we have never had a complaint filed against us nor has any customer ever returned or asked for any type of compensation. This customer’s complaint has...
absolutely no merit. She was provided a thirty day powertrain warranty stipulated by Mass General Law. Her car also passed inspection and would have not passed if the issues she is claiming were a problem at that time. Her estimate of repairs is dated May 4, 2015, she bought the car in January 2015. I called the customer in April 2015 and also delivered a car to her friend-a referral from her. We have never deceived any customer. The issues the customer is referring to are both unforeseeable-situations nobody could predict or have knowledge about at the time of sale. The customer clearly stated in the complaint the car was running excellent at the time of purchase. (January 2015. We are not in any way responsible for repairs to her car after her warranty expires, especially for months later. If we fixed all customer’s vehicles four months later, the business would fold We broke no law. She bought the car knowing it had over 100,000 miles on it. I received a letter the next day the customer went on our website and made the false statements. I went on the website with proof it was untrue. Our company provided the warranty a dealer does by law. The customer should have given us time to respond to her later instead of putting negative and untrue comments on our website.

I am perfectly aware that there is no monetary recourse after the thirty day period. That's why I wrote, called and emailed in May and gave the sellers plenty of time to at least speak with me over the phone regarding the problems with the car. They never responded. The car DIDN'T pass inspection within the 30 days. I waited eight weeks for the check engine light to go off before I could get it to pass. The worn, cracked timing belt that had been on the car since 2004 was an obvious issue at the time of sale. It has since cost one thousand dollars to fix. The code history on the car indicated that it had always coded for a blown catalytic converter. The car is now drivable with a new timing belt but will not pass any future inspections without a new catalytic converter - cost roughly $900.00. Both of these major repairs were foreseeable at the time of sale. Everything I wrote was true and it's unfortunate that it took a public complaint to get any response from the sellers.
