[redacted] purchased 2000 Dodge Neon For $2995.00 plus tax and license fees (in house finance through Car Dawgs) The vehicle was not wrecked according to the Vehicle History Report and the Wa State Title. [redacted] brought the car back to us about a week later, wanting us to adjust her...
headlight. While waiting for her car, she admitted to backing up the car into a wood pile 2 times. When the mechanic opened the hood, the latch did break. We needed to order the part and she needed to bring it back to get it put on. [redacted] never called to get it put on. We fixed the backup lights no cost to her but what I didn't know was what she had told my wife about backing up into a wood pile. When we returned the car to her, she said we hit the front spoiler and cracked it. It was already cracked when she purchased the car. [redacted] then had a meltdown and sat down in our parking lot and proceeded to have a crying outburst and it was quite embarrassing and I did cuss and walked away. [redacted] stopped making payments 2 months after she purchased the car. Finally was able to talk to her and found out she and the vehicle were in Oregon. Then she started texting saying she wanted me to pay for repairs in Oregon. [redacted] was still not making her agreed payments and I was not going to send money to fix the car when I couldn't see it for myself. If she would have been at least current on her payments I would have tried to work something out. [redacted] had someone call me and he said he was a mechanic and that the car needed work. I told the gentleman, at this point she is pass due and car was on repo and she is responsible for the maintenance. When he explained the damages to the car, I told him it wasn't that way when she purchased it. There was no way the car would have been drivable in town or a long road trip. As far as the tire issue, she asked about new tires and I said that was her responsibility and she only had $300 down for just the car. I took a chance on [redacted] to follow through with what we agreed to. It didn't happen. We pride ourselves on selling a safe and good car but what people do after they leave the business is on them. Customers sign an As Is paper at purchase time.
