The main problem with the vehicle was a water leak inside the car. The leak was coming from beneath the glove compartment and created a puddle on the floor of the passenger side. I came to auto land to get this issue resolved. I was notified to pay $50 for a diagnostic, which I agreed to. After diagnosis I was told the issue was the water lines was clogged and needs to be cleaned. They asked for another $50 to solve the issue, which I paid for.
Few days later it rained and my passenger side was filled with puddles of water once again. I notified the owner about the issue and he had his mechanic that previously worked on my vehicle to unclog the water lines once again. He then notified I won’t be haven’t this issue again. I thanked him and left.
Few weeks after, the same issue occurred for the third time. Once again I notified him about it and he had a different mechanic take a look at my vehicle; obviously since the diagnostic wasn’t right. The second mechanic took a look at my car and notified the owner and I that the ‘cabin air filter cover was missing.’
My vehicle is a *** (2002 mode). According to the *** dealerships auto parts department, I was the notified that the cabin air filter cover was no longer in stock. I notified the owner of the capitol auto land manager and he notified me to get it from a junk yard, which I did. I spent $37.10 And made an hour trip to Culpepper Va to pick up the part. I came back with a new filter which I purchased from auto zone and the cabin air filter that they mentioned to purchase.
When I arrived with the parts, I ran into the mechanic that notified me to get the part. He seemed confused because I already had the part on my vehicle and he noticed I purchased the same part that I already had. He than said ‘it’s the part that goes under’ I then questioned ‘what’s the name of the part your talking about?’ He said ‘WE CALL IT cabin air filter cover’. I later explained and showed him the recite and proof.
