I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # 12222605.
I went to store Ian said I would not get it back for 2 weeks. This was said in front of [redacted] who was with me. So it would not return til 6/27. I received a call 6/20 from a lady saying it was ready. I was concerned as how long it took, 4 days and not a week. They called on a Friday. I wanted to find out how it came back so quickly. The Lady said it should be polished before they did it. They did not do what I asked for them to do and they did not do it exactly how I wanted. I did show them a keychain of what I wanted. Even [redacted] said that is not what you asked them to do. I went to [redacted] Engraving. Said it was soldered not engraved. Then said it was too thin. [redacted] said they could do it. [redacted] engraved exactly what I wanted after it was polished out. 7/11 I went to pick it up from [redacted] Jeweler. I would like a refund for what I had to pay to have it redone. $10 to have it polished and them $25 for it to be engraved. I have not done business with Empire Loan in at least the past 5 years.
Regards,

To Whom It May Concern: This letter is in response to complaint #[redacted]. The complainant feels we did not perform a repair correctly on a bracelet he wanted engraved. Mr [redacted] (the complainant) happens to be a blind individual who always has an aid with him. When we went over the...
details of the work to be done, the aid was shown what was going to be done, and verbally explained it to Mr. [redacted]. At that point, Mr. [redacted] approved the job and signed the repair envelope. Upon completion of the job, we called to notify him it was ready to be picked up. The following day he came in and said it wasn't what he had asked for, when in fact it was exactly what we had drawn on the repair envelope. Mr. [redacted] has been a customer for some time, and has always been very difficult to deal with. Therefore, we are especially careful when doing ANY kind of work for him. Hence the drawing on the repair envelope. Unfortunately, I don't believe the engraving could be changed due to the fact that the bracelet is so thin. Furthermore, I don't believe we did anything wrong, considering the work that was done is exactly what was represented. I don't knowwhat more Mr.[redacted] expects.
