Review: Poor installation and finished product as well as damage to the house. I have called and spoken to the Production Manager, who failed to call or show up to see the work quality the first time. I had to call again at which point he did come to my house last Tuesday, 8/6/13. To date I have not been contacted back by Capital Improvement. I am currently trying to find a contractor that works with my particular house structure to come and give me an estimate to fix the damage done. The house is 90 years old and I was very specific when getting estimates that I was concerned about damage to my home. They put in 24, some very large, in 1 day. The damage may be so extensive that I will have to file a claim on my homeowners insurance.Desired Settlement: I believe that I should get a refund and compensation to pay an expert to fix the damage done to my 90 year old home. I would like to let them make it right but since they did not take heed to my warnings about working on my unique structure, I am very weary about letting them touch it any further. They admitted that the subcontractor they hired has been a problem for them for the past year and THEY SENT THEM TO MY HOUSE after all my confessed concerns. I am trying to be reasonable.

Response:
We appricate the opurtunity to respond to this complaint. We have viewed the project and spoken with the customer. Capital Improvemnet has agreed to correct the issues that were discussed with Ms [redacted] on 8/6/2013. At that time she was told that it would take about two weeks for us to get the carpenter free, so we can do the requested repairs to the property.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have not been contacted since [redacted] was at my house on 8/6/13 to be
advised as to the status and nothing has been said about at my convenience.
I have not even been sent a letter. I have no idea what the resolution will be. It is NOT just trim work. I
have cracked tile under my kitchen window and the entire wall is pushed out. I have asked that Capital
Improvement come to my house and go through my house window by window
and document the damage. I was told someone else was going to come out and assess the damage and nothing has happened. I cannot believe that they can write a letter
like this and it is done. I do not feel at this point that I am the one that should be proactive in staying in touch. I have documented all my calls to them and well there have not been any calls back to me.
