to receive payment for the services provided. However, our payment was delayed due to the VA losing our bills and then requesting records from the treating facility. Cape Radiology Group involved an outside collection agency only when we felt our internal collection efforts had been exhausted. Mrs. [redacted] was aware of the balance due prior to a collection agency becoming involved. In good faith, we will refund an additional $57.75 to the patient. This additional refund is the difference from the amount already refunded and the total $186.00 claim amount which was satisfied by the VA after the [redacted]'s payment was processed. The VA has not made a payment on the $45.00 claim and therefore we cannot issue a refund on that item.
