Dear Revdex.com, Mr [redacted] has stated that his issue is with a PlayStation retail disc version of Street Fighter x TekkenCapcom U.S.AInc.'s warranty states that our software discs, when purchased brand new, shall be free from defects for a period of 90-daysIn the event of a defect within such 90-day period, the customer’s sole remedy shall be a replacement game disc free of chargeA copy of the relevant portion of the Street Fighter x Tekken warranty page is attached to this responseMr [redacted] claims that his copy of Street Fighter x Tekken was purchased on March 14, 2013, meaning that any warranty claim would have had to accrue on or prior to June 12, Mr [redacted] claims, however, that his particular issue arose on April 16, 2014, nearly months after expiration of the warrantyAs such, Mr [redacted] is not entitled to the benefit of the warrantyFurthermore, Mr [redacted] has stated that the game was purchased for him by a friendOur warranty, however, only covers the original purchaserEven if we were to presume that the disc was in fact defective (and not simply damaged by Mr [redacted] ) and this defect occurred within the initial day warranty period, Mr [redacted] still would not be able to benefit from the warranty because he was not the original purchaserNevertheless, in accordance with the attached warranty information, Mr [redacted] ’s has the option of contacting Capcom U.S.AInc.’s Customer Service Department to attempt to resolve the issue with his diskIf our customer service technician is unable to resolve the issue, Mr [redacted] sole remedy is to mail the broken/defective disk to Capcom U.S.A., Inc., freight prepaid and at his own risk, along with a check or money order for USD $Capcom U.S.A., Incwill then replace the game disc, subject to the conditions aboveCapcom U.S.A., Inc.’s Customer Service Department may be reached at: Capcom U.S.A., IncCustomer Service Department [redacted] We hope that this resolves the issue and that this matter can be closedBest regards, Capcom U.S.A., IncLegal Department
