CAP Carpet & Flooring

Of all the carpet stores within fifty miles of the 55112 area code, only three stores are given the top ranking in “sales quality”, “installation quality”, and “price”, by Twin Cities Consumers Checkbook. One of those stores is CAP Carpet in New Brighton, Minnesota.

We recently re-carpeted the whole main floor of our house. We were not easy customers! The color of the carpet had to be perfect, because the interior design features of our house are very color dependent. In addition, our classic vibrant aquatic colors are temporarily out of fashion. Browns, greys, and blacks are the colors of the moment.

We made many visits to CAP Carpet to see Caryn, CAP Carpet’s design specialist. She understood our color problems. She understood the importance of getting the color right under various lighting conditions. She really knew a lot about their carpet products and manufacturers. She spent a lot of time with us, and went many extra miles to help us find the right carpet, to include having carpet samples sent to us from the manufacturers.

One of the reasons that we chose CAP carpet was that they have their own installers. The team leader who was in charge of our installation claimed to have 30 years experience. He showed us how the previous installation was substandard, and he assured us that his installation would be a big improvement. The installers were all hard workers! They were a bit fanatical about football, but consumers should expect eccentricities from people who are so gifted at their craft. When we saw how many man hours of work were involved in the installation, and how much skill and experienced is required to do the job well, we came to understand why carpeting is an expensive project.

So, over-all, we give CAP Carpet high marks in “sales quality”, “installation quality”, and “price”, just as Twin Cities Consumers Checkbook did in their ratings.
