Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Village Construction is still not taking responsibility for the fact that they did not properly inspect decking and communicatel issues before roof installation. The insurance company would have paid for any additional work if Village would have communicated with them and me, the homeowner. 2. Village provided me with paperwork indicating that they would provide ice and water shield, but now they are saying that did not have to because city code did not require it. They promised one thing and did another....that is dishonest and mis-leading!!! 3. Village indicated that I did not experience problems for "years"...not true. I experienced water intrusion problems within 19months of the installation. They have not agreed to take care of all areas where their is a gap between the decking and the eaves but only several of the problem areasThey have not specified details on how they would take care of the problem areas. Based upon another roofers evaluation, I have requested specifics which were addressed in my original complaintIf they were serious about taking care of their customers, they would have taken care of me before installation, and if a problem, would have returned my calls and resolved this situation...they are only reaching out and doing the "minimum" to improve their Revdex.com rating.

We have come to an agreement with the homeowner in order to resolve this complaintVillage Construction will remove feet of shingles around all eaves of the homeWe will install any boards needed to fill the gap that is present in some areas of the homeWe will install ice and water shield (course) around all the eaves and put new shingles back We want to fix the problemAlthough we want to point out we did not put any of this on the contract and were not paid to do itBut to make things right with the homeowner we will go ahead and do it We think it was just a miscommunication between us There are two things we want to make clearThe new shingles will be NEW and therefore will not match right awayAlso, we will not let another roofing company do this workIf the homeowner wants to keep his warranty with us, we have the right to do the jobWe will assign a new representative from our company to manage the project and make sure all goes accordinglyPlease advise if this is accepted
