Candles for Cuddles Momma's Melts

Kate K scammed bereaved mothers. We all purchased personalized candles from her, and she stole our money, never sending the product.
Last fall, Kate K at Candles for Cuddles or "Momma's Melts", marketed her new line of candles which could be personalized with our stillborn babies names. Some people purchased and received their candles. But MANY bereaved mothers like myself purchased and never received. I purchased at the beginning of December 2019, fully expecting it to be 6-8 weeks before receiving a custom candle. In February I emailed asking for an update. K responded saying it would be shipping "soon". I sent two more e-mails in March 2020, to which I never received a response at all. By April 2020, her website and social media pages were removed. She STOLE from mothers whose little babies have DIED. Knowing that she is a bereaved mother herself makes it so much worse. She knows our pain, and yet she was willing to steal our money anyway. There is absolutely no excuse. It is theft. She is a thief. If she was in over her head, she should have refunded everyone for the candles she could not produce.

To make matters even worse, the profits from these candles were supposed to go toward donations to ***. *** is a company that makes cooling bassinets for hospitals, which provides families the opportunity to spend a few hours or days with their stillborn baby before leaving the hospital. The *** slows the decomposition of their tiny, fragile bodies. K never showed any proof of actually donating any funding towards a cot.
