Canadian Reliable Van Lines Reviews (%countItem)

On June 17, 2019, *** of Canadian Reliable Van Lines sent a quote of $2850 CAD for an international move. On June 19, 2019, I made a deposit of $200 CAD (150 USD) with my credit card to reserve a moving date. Reservation Number: ***. Even after making the deposit, *** did not give us a guaranteed moving date and time. From June 20, 2019 to June 28, 2019, I kept calling *** to give a confirmed date and time when the movers would arrive but did not get a reply; all emails were un-replied and calls went unanswered. I was moving from USA to Canada for a new job and my lease was expiring, therefore, it was crucial we had to vacate our apartment and move our belongings. *** confirmed over email the movers would be arriving on June 29, 2019. On June 28, 2019, a truck driver named *** from this moving company called at 4:55 PM and said he would only be able to come pick and move our goods on July 3 as he was in Florida. Given we had flight tickets booked for Sunday June 30, 2019 from *** Airport to Vancouver, Canada, our lease was expiring and I had to start a new job, there was no way we could wait till the July 3. The company did not honor their part of the agreement and did not show up on the designated day and time, leaving us looking for other options. Considering it was the weekend and all moving companies are closed over the weekend, we were put through a lot of trouble looking for an alternative. *** I have been calling and emailing *** to return our deposit but he does not answer our calls seeing our numbers and no emails have been replied to. As the moving company did not show up and did not complete their part of the arrangement, I would like my deposit back. I would also like the company to compensate me for the movers we hired on June 29, 2019 and reimburse me for the storage unit where our belongings have been stored. The compensation I am asking for not including all the mental trauma and stress is $535 which does not include the deposit.

Desired Outcome

To refund my deposit and reimburse me for the movers we had to hire on the last day at short notice along with the rent for the storage unit. A total amount of $685.

It is difficult to define my complaint type as this company qualifies for several - customer service, delivery issues, advertising issues and more. Everything stated on its website is ***. Once they took my deposit I never had a single email or phone call returned. They claim the customer service department is there to relieve the stress of the move and help you every step of the way.

I was told to have all of my things ready on June 10, 2019 and that pick up would be between June 10 and 13. I advised the sales rep, *** through several emails and phone messages that I was leaving the country on the 14th and he assured me when I finally got him to pick up the phone on the 12th that everything would be ok. On the 13th no one arrived. IN FACT, NO ONE ARRIVED UNTIL June 16th and I did not receive a call or any follow-up from the 13 to the 16. When I reached *** by phone again, he told me it was the local movers fault? and too bad for me. I had to have someone else be at my place while I was out of town, to oversee the pick up of my things that were moving from *** BC to Toronto, ON. It was stressful and completely unacceptable given all of the times I left messages advising that I would not be there after the 13th. I gave them a four-day window, as requested and they couldn't adhere to that plan. Worst of all no one from this company kept me informed of anything until a mover called 30 minutes before arrival on June 16th.

I was told a delivery date of July 4 was booked and confirmed, and I all my travel plans, including shipping my car and travelling by plane with my dog, to Toronto on July 3. When I called to confirm the delivery from the airport, a man by the name of *** told me my container isn't even in Ontario and it would be 4-8 more days until it arrived. I had left *** several messages in the days prior to July 3 and he never called or emailed me with any update. When I asked *** what he suggested I do, he said cancel your plane ticket and go back home.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I had to find a place to stay in Toronto for 7 days because of the delay. I was also starting a new job. Financial compensation is the only remedy that is feasible now. I paid $1750 for the move and ask That $750 be returned to cover the cost of accommodation for the six nights my delivery was delayed.

The business owner Mark K. will be a nice gentleman and give you all the promises until you confirm to take their service and put a deposit. You will see his true color just after that ***
I booked his services to ship my belongings from Edmonton, AB, to Hamilton, ON. He was nagging, bagging, calling me at the odd times, sending me repeated emails, and gave the best offer warranting that everything will be done as per schedule. I booked his services on 30th May with $200.00 deposit to ship my belongings on 29th June. After sending the deposit, immediately he started showing his true color, i,e,, ignoring my phone calls, not replying my emails, etc. I managed to talk to him on 26th and 28th June and requested him repeatedly to ensure my shipment is picked up on 29th June as promised earlier. I also explained to him what are the substantial financial losses *** I and my entire family have to go through for any failure. He was very *** and *** replying my phone call but confirmed that the shipment will be picked up on 29th June as promised. On 28th June afternoon at 4 pm(just before the long weekend), one lady called me and told me that they can pick up my shipment only on 30th June or after that. I tried to explain my serious problem and bagged her to pick up my shipment on 29th June, she ignored. When I told him about Mark K.'s commitment, she was laughing and advised me to talk to Mark K. directly. After that, I called Mark K. many times and send numerous emails. He neither picked up my calls nor replied my emails. ***?

I booked my move from ***, Ontario to *** Alberta with a saleman named ***. All was good with the setup and pickup. The pickup gentlemen were very professional and careful with my items. They agreed to have my house delivered the week of June 25th. I received only half of my move on Tuesday, June 25th. I called the office and was *** spoken to by *** and *** in the office. Saying the rest of my stuff was not coming until the following week. I was never notified that my load would be split up and that I would have to wait 2 weeks for the rest of my shipment. I spoke to *** in the office today who was not helpful and asked if I could not understand her as to why my shipment was split up. I explained that if I was told that I was not getting all my items in one load that I would have went with a different company. She told me I would have to wait and there was nothing she could do. I asked for the owners name and she refused. I am supposed to get the rest of my load this saturday, I can only imagine the state of the rest of my items when they arrive. I have worked at top of a business, and I know that we are not informed of certain instances. I believe that my voice should be heard by the top and not just someone in the office that is *** and ***. For a cross country move, this should not happen and I would like to hear from the owner as to why I was notified that this could even be a possibility. Many items in my first half of my load was damaged, which, fine, it happens, but to be treated as someone that can live out of a suitcase for 2 weeks, thankfully my heart medication came with me, as this is totally unacceptable. My payment was paid via money order and directly deposited into their business account on June 18, 2019 for the amount of $5442.70 and I had already paid a $200.00 deposit. I am looking for some compensation for living with only half a bed and half of my items. I would like a call from the owner of the company. I don't feel it is acceptable for a moving company to split anyone's shipment especially since it is a cross country move.

Desired Outcome

I think a partial credit and replacement value of my items that were damaged...so far I only have half my shipment, so I am unaware at this time any other damages there will be.

Booked with this company in May for a move to another province, spoke with *** who ensured me the move will go smoothly and that this is a reliable company as I was nervous because this was a big move for me and I had heard many things on the media about *** moving companies! *** indicated a 200$ deposit was required which I paid by Credit card.. I informed *** that I was moving with a young child and needed an idea for the time frame for pick up as I needed to drive to the new place and did not want to drive *** at night, he advised me the pick up will be before 5pm on June 29th. June 27th *** called me to say that the movers will come between 6-9PM and there was nothing that can be done about it JUNE 29TH I waited all evening for the movers with my young child and they NEVER SHOWED UP! I tried to reach *** and the company phone line many times and he just turned his phone off, at 11:30 PM a man named *** called me and said that *** over booked them and they had no space in the truck for my things,he said management will call me in the morning between 9-10 am to give me a time for the movers to come that day (June 30th) no one called and no one showed up! I have tried to reach the company many times since June 29th and there is no answer! The new tenants were moving in JUNE 30TH and I was left stranded

Desired Outcome

I want my 200$ deposit back I would also like to be reimbursed for the extra charged I was forced to pay due do this situation

Was told by this company they'd be here in a 3 day window to take and move my stuff to Ontario. The window closes and they don't show up, so they tell me to wait a day or so, and they'll show up. So I wait again, and they don't show up. This happened a few times and I finally got sick of it and said to cancel it. The customer service is bad, so they were quite *** and *** of me and would not refund the money I deposited for the move even after explaining the case ***. ***.
Product_Or_Service: Moving services

Desired Outcome

Refund I really just want my deposit back and to not be charged for cancelling my contract with them (that I didn't sign) ***.
