Customer service never followed through on their promise to provide us vouchers after the Lyft ticket fiasco this year. As we could only go the one day and the ticketing site did not mention the free entry, the customer service manager said our tickets would be canceled and we would receive tickets for next year's CNE which to-date have not been received or acknowledged via email though we do have record of the manager and telephone call from the customer service team.
Welcome To The Canadian National Exhibition Out In Toronto, Ontario Canada!
Boy What A Very Long Day!
I got there just before they opened at around 8:45 A.M. and did Not leave until around 11:40 P.M.!
It is a whole day adventure!
The Canadian National Exhibition also known as the (CNE) has been around for 140 years!
I have Not been here since I was a kid back in the 1970's whereby I remember my mother bringing ME there and running out of money and then she called my father of course from a payphone to pick us up.
Well, today things have changed!
They NOW sell reasonable all day passes which include admission which cost me something like $34.00 U.S. dollars when converted and so I suppose it was a Good Deal, however, the Rides Had Long Lines!
I did manage to ride several rides which include: The Skyride which is one of their most Alpine Bobs, Niagara Falls, Rock N Cars, Polar Express, Mach 3, Plus Two (2) Additional Fun Houses.
For the most part, I had Fun, but I can Not stand the rides that go round and round that Make Me Dizzy!
Besides The Rides: They have the following buildings which include: Home Pavilion - Hall A,
Shoppers' Market - Hall A and International Pavilion - Hall B. These buildings feature goods and items for sale including food with many samples being given out along with a lot of demonstrations given on their various products. That was a lot of Fun and Very Impressive!
One Of The Exhibits: "Dragon Breath" was simply Amazing whereby they use Liquid Nitrogen mixed with Cereal Cookies to allow You To Blow Smoke Out Of Your Mouth Just Like A Dragon!
Inside Those Buildings: I also saw their Legends Of The Silk Road Come to Light Exhibit and a Beautiful Well Lit Lantern Exhibit.
In The Queen Elizabeth Building: They had their Native Canadian Exhibit which featured pictures and arts & crafts lessons making Native Bracelets.
There is another Building which is known as their Food Building which contains many International Foods.
I even saw The Farm Building showing off some of our Canadian Animals including Agriculture.
There is also an Arts, Crafts & Hobbies Pavilion with more Items to View, Buy, Taste and Sample.
Outside Of The Building: They have a Canadian Armed Forces Interactive Display where You can climb on top of some of their vehicles, boats, etc. and take pictures.
The Water Ski Show down by the Lake is Excellent as well!
There was also The Scadding Cabin (also known as Toronto's Oldest House) which was erected back in 1794.
The Canadian National Exhibition also has daily performances at their Band Shell and I saw "The Spoons" in concert which was Delightful!
I was quite busy at the Canadian National Exhibition back on Monday, August 20, 2018 and there was Not A Single Boring Minute During My Day Long and Evening Adventure.
I want to personally Thank the staff at the Canadian National Exhibition for putting on such a Great Exhibition!
Sincerely yours,
Howard Paul S.
