I purchased a dishwasher from Canadian Appliance Source on Jan 28, 2020. I confirmed delivery details with my salesperson and made sure CAS worked with professional delivery companies prior to finalizing payment. I was assured their preferred delivery company *** has trained professionals and therefore selected the online delivery date option of Feb 8th, Sat from 7am-noon. I have 3 confirmation texts with delivery times. At 7pm the night before delivery a third party called to tell me delivery would be from 12-5pm. There is no disclaimer that delivery times can be pushed and this person had neither heard of the company called 'CAS' or '***' or '***. He did not give me a company name so I was suspicious and called the *** customer service number for assistance but it was a *** number under the guise of '***'. The fellow on the phone asked if I had ordered my appliance from *** which is another reason I was suspicious. I was assured it would be 1 level down of subcontracting from *** but they sub-contracted to *** and they sub-contracted to *** and they subcontracted to an independent contractor. The dishwasher was not delivered. I spoke with the CAS salesperson who reiterated I could send in a delivery company of my own choosing, which I did and scheduled a second delivery for Feb 18th, 2020 between noon and 2pm. The CAS salesperson confirmed with the CAS warehouse that this was possible and Derrick from *** would pick up my dishwasher as long as he showed ID...which he did this morning. The CAS warehouse would not release my dishwasher to him so I have no dishwasher again. I was told that CAS does not allow outside delivery companies even though they say they do. They are holding my dishwasher hostage and I have requested to cancel the order but they want 25% of the purchase price. I am able to provide you with proof if required. Thank you.
