Review: I paid into my company's long term disability, then became disabled. A judge awarded me approximately $327.00 a month for life. They paid it for a while but one day I received a call informing me they had lost my file but it shouldn't be a problem and they would call me when they found it. I kept calling but the file was never found. I received checks for a while then they stopped and I have never heard from them again until I called [redacted] who called the company and found out the statute of limitations had run. This was a couple years ago but it keeps bothering me that they would stop paying on a claim when they had been ordered to pay by a judge. It is so wrong for a big company to mistreat a disabled person like this. I'm also wondering if I am the only one they did this to. It has been a long time now, sometime between 1997 and 2002. It seems to me they defrauded me since I never got the call saying my file had been found.Desired Settlement: Any unpaid money with cost adjustment for cost of living increases should be paid to me as well as starting my monthly checks again. It is very difficult to survive on disability and if you become disabled before retirement age you do not even receive social security only SS Disability payments which are not much. It's bad enough I can't walk, the poverty is unbearable
