I understand that you have a complaint against Calypso Plumbing from the [redacted], this is our version of what really happened. The reason being is the Berea water quality is terrible and these waterlines were laid in a bed of what is called foundry sand. We installed a manifold supplied all plumbing overhead and down which is a common practice for homes that are on slabs to replace water lines. We did run them on an exterior wall that is true, we insulated our lines, our lines were inspected not only by the plumbing inspector but the chief building official of the city of Berea. he instructed the homeowner who is acting as their own G.C. That the walls need to be insulated properly. The homeowner installed or had somebody install insulation covering the pipes the insulation was to be behind the pipes. What he has done now has formed a vapor barrier between the outside of the wall and the waterlines, the insulation should've been between the outside of the wall and the waterlines. I did send a tech out who found that the water lines were frozen in the walls, if the attic was the issue they would have no water anywhere since as I had mentioned all waterlines were replaced and ran over head. Our techs found the frozen line, cut a vent in the wall behind the refrigerator and everything was working properly. The [redacted] expect me to make this repair or replacement of the waterlines free of cost they have been borderline nasty to my text and we feel that we are justified in this cause. They can have as many other opinions as they like but anybody calling themselves a plumber and suggesting that waterlines be ran in foundry sand may as well call themselves an Astronaut because they have no idea what they're talking about. Our office has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] who seems to be the more cooperative of the homeowners, we did make an attempt or two to revisit unfortunately the flu did run through my shop and I had to reschedule. As far as I understand The option for the repair was still in the air just a scheduling conflict.
