I'm actually shopping for a third and I see this poor review above. I have bought 2 windshields for my '06 V-Strom 1000 and was very happy with both. In the 16 years I've owned the bike I've also had other windshields. I like the clean design, X-tall availability and it's a custom fit. In both cases, the windshield arrived on-time, in great shape and fit great. The little bottle of cleaner and rag is a nice touch. I recommend them.

I have reviewed the response and doubt they will actually update their website any time in the near future.  Instead of pursuing this further via this avenue I'm going to take it to social media.The best thing I can do is NEVER give this company another dime.  They deceived me on the item and refused to refund me for all the shipping costs.

Review: I purchased a windshield for my 2014 [redacted] from this seller based on the information and pictures provided on their website @ [redacted]. Paid for shipping via [redacted] Ground.

When I received the item a week later (delivered by USPS Parcel Select NOT [redacted] Ground), I discovered the unit was not made as advertised. It was missing the signature vent that that is "Vented for minimum turbulence and back pressure". The shield also had chips along the top edge.

I informed the seller of these issues and was initially told I was confused. Then when I pointed out the web site discrepancy I was told they had changed the design to provide better performance yet had failed to update the web site.

The problem with this change to "provide better performance" is that it negates any thing special about this company's product compare the [redacted]'s own tall touring shield. I believe they are aware of this fact and purposely omitted the change in design from their advertising because they would not have a competitive advantage.Desired Settlement: I have tried to work with them and the best they will do is to refund my purchase price minus the original shipping charge (27.29) plus whatever cost I incur to return the product to them as they are refusing to provide me with the windshield I purchased based on the information in their advertisement. This is unacceptable that I have to lose any money at all when a manufacturer fraudulently advertises a product and then fails to actually manufacture the product to the level they advertise.

We have already spoken with the customer and offered resolutions for the issue. We removed the vent from our design because although generally they help with performance, on this model ([redacted] 2013+ standard width shields) they do not. The older shields as well as the wide models for this generation do have a vent still. We offered to replace the customers windshield with a custom made one that has the old vent, and we also offered the customer a full money back refund (these offers may no longer apply depending on the current condition of the windshield). We are not attempting to deceive our customers in anyway, we have already changed the text on our web page to clarify the design change and we will update the pictures some time in the future when we are able.
