The sales rep was very knowledgeable friendly and respectful. Gave us a good timeline when scheduling the appointment. The crew that came out to install the floor did an excellent job I would definitely have them back, we love our new LVP floor!
Great experience! I am sooo happy with my carpet!
Worst customer service of my life. Booked an appointment online and received a call day of appointment to reschedule. Appointment was rescheduled and on day of 2ND appointment received a call to reschedule. Appointment was rescheduled a 3RD time and a half-hour before the two hour arrival window appointment was canceled. Each time I asked to speak to a Sales Manager but none available. Even the rep on the phone was mortified. I will not call again.
Just had carpeting installed. Very pleased with every aspect.
I love my new floors!! The installation team was wonderful. They were very considerate of me, my home and my furniture. Chico was the lead for the installation team.
Excellent job on my vinyl and carpet job.
Just wanted to say I was completely satisfied with my Empire Carpet experience. They havea Great professional team.
My wife and I have used Empire three times over the last 10 years, two times in the last 2 years, for carpet or flooring in our home, my mother-in-law's, and my dad's. Each time, their service, product, and installation was excellent. From the sale's person to the installers, they were all professional and neat, and they performed next-day installation.
Extremely happy with all aspects of the sales and installation process
Still have not received a return call from the local Empire office which was supposed to have been completed by end of business yesterday (12/22/15) according to the customer service representative. Also, still haven't received a return call from Seattle installation manager, Robert [redacted], after I left 2 voice messages.
My carpet appears to be poorly installed. Some corners and edges appear sloppy, loose, and some of the floor is uneven.
The installers do NOT call prior to arrival and actually showed up 3 hours before the time window I was given by the Empire office that morning. After I rushed over to the job site, the installers were no longer there and I had to wait for their return. They also could not communicate with me because of their poor English skills. They were unable to follow simple directions to the back of the building and could not explain to me what they did at the end of the job. When they called to tell me they were done, the installer wanted to leave before I returned to check their work or sign the completion paperwork. My walls were also scratched and there is a new dent in the wall.
I can't believe Empire is accredited by the Revdex.com. Terrible customer service.
It makes NO sense that they hire contractors who can barely understand or speak English. How are they supposed to communicate with customers beyond "this is the carpet guy", "we are at the front", and " we are done"?
On Wednesday March 16th, 2016, I had an appointment with a representative from Empire Today scheduled from 7pm-9pm. My neighbor told me he came over around 3pm which I found to be odd. At any rate he called me and came over some time after 8pm. First thing he asked when I opened the door was to use my restroom. I felt slightly uneasy since he had to pass a Del Taco, Taco Bell and Subway to get to my house from one direction from the North was Carl's Jr and from the east was Burger King. At any rate, I was in the middle of cleaning my house. I had just finished cleaning the restroom and only needed to mop. Once he got out of the restroom
he said, "I cleaned up after myself." I thought the comment was strange but I said, "ok." Well, he left around 9:45pm and I drove off to Home Depot before they closed at 10pm. When I returned home I did not go back into that restroom. The next day I went in there to mop and my personal items were on the counter. My toothpaste was out and a paper towel. I was totally flabbergasted. I called the next day to make a complaint and I was told that I would be compensated for my tooth paste and toothbrushes and the man's manger would be made aware of the situation. I don't want anyone to be fired but I want them to know that it is never ok to go into someone's cabinet. As of today I have yet to be compensated.
We appreciate the customer contacting us regarding their concerns.
face="Calibri">The invoice was forwarded to the customer on Monday January 30th, and the customer advised that the discount had been applied to the order previously.
Fantastic Sales Associate. Super quick installation with no issues so far post-install. Overall a great experience.... Professional.
CUSTOMER BEWARE[redacted]DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD INFORMATION[redacted]. Sales rep made critical errors in calculating sq ftg and cost, thereby changing the cost of the original contract we made on 8/20/15. Once it was known by Empire Today that the contract we signed had factual errors in that contract, that contract was void. Once we stated we would not be accepting the new, far more expensive contract (a dodgy sales tactic) we ended our business with Empire Today on 8/24/15. However, that did not stop Empire from stealing our deposit money from our account that same day and they have kept that stolen money for more than 2 weeks. I have made 3 refund attempts. BEWARE!!!!
Stay Away from this country, they ARE CROOKS.
Sales Rep Jay [redacted] came to our home to measure for a bedroom carpet job. Measured 181 square feet. After viewing samples we found one that we liked. Jay ordered and scheduled the install date for 9-15-16.
Was called by the installer Mike at we settled on 1:00PM on 9-15-16. (do have copy of contract if you need it) Installers arrived. He walked in. Did not introduce the other man with hi. Mike was rude, and unprofessional. Mike walked into the room he did a measure, and said to us, the measurements were correct by Jay. He than walked out and measured the carpet in his truck. My husband was there and he noticed that the carpet he was measuring was not the carpet we ordered. B
e careful when ordering, keep the sample of your purchase. Many internet complaints state they do switch the carpet.
Mike than stated that carpet was not the right size. He came back in, I asked him to wait until I called the 800 number, and he said no. Than asked me if I wanted my furniture back. He was in a hurry. I replied to him, to wait, he than turned and left
I called the 800 number and was connected to the head installation coordinator. His name was Porsirio(sp). His accent was so bad I could not understand him. Another frustration to add to the already existing frustration. Their whole call center that supports Customers is located in Texas, and filled with [redacted] workers. He said he would call Jay..and call me back. I waited 2 hours did not here from him so I called him back. He said that there was a system error, and that is why the mistakes took place. Which I do not believe
At 4 that afternoon Jay shows up. He said he wasted NO time in going right to the top when he heard about the errors. He said he would be talking to Steve(some big shot in Tampa) and call me back. I have not received a call from either Steve or Jay [redacted] since 9-15-16. I called 800 # three more times and asked them to page Jay, they said they did, and they also said his phone was OFF. The disrespect, unprofessionalism and sheer dishonesty they have treated us during this experience is what I have read about over and over again on the internet. On Monday 9-19-2016 I canceled the install by calling the 800 #. Ref. in 7 t0 10 days. If they do not respond in that timeframe, my next step is legal action.
My girlfriend and I are expecting a baby soon, and decided to get new flooring for the house to prepare. We set up an appointment online and sales person was out on the weekend. We weren't quite convinced to use Empire, but due to the salesperson's pitch and what they offered we decided to go thru them. During the product page, they stated how well their product was, that they don't sell bad products, and that they could be out there that same week. We gave them $604 down payment and decided to finance the rest. The sales person stated that we should not have any subfloor problems because it was a newer home, however she never looked to doublecheck. It only takes five seconds to check the subfloor.
Installation day arrived, and I was waiting for phone call for their arrival. They were told by our sales person that they needed to start early because of schedule conflicts in the evening. I finally got a phone call around 10 AM telling me that the product had defects and the installers would not be coming out. I asked what the defects were, and his only response was, defects. I asked the installer when this could be completed, or if they would be out the next day, he stated probably not. I had cleared my schedule for this installation, and had to cancel some plans. I e-mailed our sales person up, and she stated that she would try to figure out what happened. She stated that she would be right back to us.
I did not hear anything from her, then on Friday I get an email stating that installation will be happening on Saturday. I don't remember agreeing to a Saturday installation, so I called our sales person back up. She apologize and then changed our installation for two months out. I told her that I did not want our installation two months out, and I wanted it sooner than later, but it would've been nice to get a phone call to confirm we were available for the time she picked. At that point I also asked for a discount on the product because of the heart ache we been through. She gave us an extra $100 off. We were able to set up the installation for Saturday because my girlfriend was off of work. She stated that they could probably do the install in one day.
Saturday rolled around, and the installers called right away, and were there before 8 AM. We were excited. The installers brought in some samples to put together in the house, and realized that the product was defective. The installers, who are contracted, stated that there have been a lot of issues with the brand of laminate we selected. They stated we were the sixth home this week in the area with that brand that had issues. The installers also stated that we would need subflooring put under our carpet so it would level out with the rest of the house. But wait a minute, didn't the sales person say we did not need a sub floor? The installer stated that she should've checked. So I call our sales person up Saturday morning and woke her up. I explained the issues, and she seemed confused by which customer she was talking to, and I kind a got the feeling that there are several other customers having issues at the same time with her. She asked if the installers could call her, and they told her about the situation going on. She called back and I explained how disappointed I was in the service, and Empires lack of truth in their advertising. I brought up canceling our order completely because I felt like the service was just going to get worse. After ordering the flooring initially I started reading reviews about the company, I started getting scared this would happen. Our sales person said she would call us right back.
She called back after about 20 minutes and said that she had spoken to her supervisors, and got permission to install the subfloor for free, and upgrade us to whichever laminate we wanted at the original price we paid. My girlfriend and I were hesitant, but we asked if she would come back to the house. She did, and she was there within an hour.
She brought up her samples, and left the old samples behind in her car because that was the whole product line that was defective. She stated that she was unaware that that product line was defective and that they were not going to offer those anymore. We looked through the products, and my girlfriend and I were still hesitant. But then the sales person stated that they could upgrade us to hardwood for the original price because of the problems we've been having. We could not pass that up, and picked out a hardwood. We set up an install date for today Wednesday, and I had to rearrange my work schedule and give up shifts so I could be here. Our house is been in disarray since he original installation date of over a week ago, so I was looking forward to having the house back to normal after the next two days.
Today is install day, the installers call before 8 AM and got to the house before 8 AM. I was like great this is going to be a good day. They came inside the house and started unboxing the product, only to realize that it was the wrong color and wrong product. He attempted to call his manager but he was busy installing a carpet and said that he would call back later. I tried calling our sales person, but it went straight to voicemail and I left a message. It's only been an hour, but I've not heard back from her or the install manager.
After my dealings with Empire over the last week and the issues I have seen, I am pretty much just going to cancel my order. I'm scared to do this because I've heard horrible reviews and read horrible reviews about how long it takes to get the refund. We were hoping that this install would go through smoothly have no issues, because we have carpeting in the rest of the house that we wanted to do in four or five months to pair the upstairs for the baby, but now we're gonna have to find other options. I remember seeing empire today commercials as a kid visiting my grandparents in Illinois, and watching the commercials throughout my life. I figured there were a reputable company, and had strong business ethics. I guess I was wrong.
In closing, I would highly educate yourself on which company you choose to install your flooring. I have never had this type of issues with any other company I've dealt with. This experiences brought my pregnant girlfriend of two years and even me, and I'm a big guy and fire fighter.
I would highly recommend hiring empire for all your flooring needs. They installed laminate flooring for me in 6hrs. I went from a smelly carpet to a beautiful floor the very next day from making the decision to have it done. You can actually talk to people if you have any problems and you have your own representative to contact if you have any concerns. They may have been a little higher than most but you get what you pay for. Plus I have 4 years in which to pay for it at only 10% interest.
We are extremely pleased with the quality of our new carpet as well as the installation. The price seemed fair as well.
Everything went as planned. Very happy with the product and service
