I purchased an electric fireplace from the Anaheim store. I called to return it and asked about the return policy. I was told there would be a re-stocking fee of 25%. I explained to the sales rep and the owner, while on speaker phone, I didn't sign anything that stated a restocking fee. They said they would produce documents to show there was. I called for one week everyday in an attempt to speak with anybody besides the receptionist, but nobody ever took my call. I left several messages without a return call. Eventually, I did receive a call from somebody stating they were a supervisor. She explained the same restocking fee to me and told me although they don't have it posted on the website or paperwork that is just how it is. She did say she would try and have it lowered, but again I reminded her there was no legal justification to charge me that restocking fee since I didn't agree to that when I purchased it. She said she would call me back, but I have yet to hear from as of the date of this writing.
What the customer stated in his complaint is true. We sell specialty fireplace products and this unit was special ordered for him. There is a return policy of 25% which was not printed on his invoice, however, that is standard practice. The customer said that if it stated it on the invoice, then he would have paid it. He didn't think it unfair to return a product special ordered for him without a penalty. We, or any other fireplace shop, do not operate like a Best Buy and carry inventory. Each purchase is unique. Instead of arguing and going 'round and 'round, we refunded the entire amount.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
This company was subcontracted to build and install a precast chimney on our new home. After a year I noticed chipping on the chimney and called our contractor. After several years our contractor finally had to reconstruct the chimney at his cost, around$4000.
The original precast was installed improperly and the work was shoddy.
I would never recommend this company.
