I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that what they said in text is not what they told me over the phone.  Even though their policy is NOT to give quotes over the phone that is not what they did that day.  With that said, I was contacted by the business on 10 Oct 2017  where they agreed to repair my vehicle for the $340.00, which was originally quoted by their rep over the phone.  I have an appointment for  17 Oct 2017 in the morning to have the repairs done.  I want to thank the sales rep that contacted me and helped bring this issue to an end, as well as Thomson MacConnell Cadillac.

This customer has not had any of these repairs completed yet.   It is our policy to not give estimates over the phone.  Any dollar amount given over the phone would have only been a rough idea on the cost to repair.  There are different levels of cost on parts so an exact quote...

cannot be given until the vehicle is properly diagnosed and the part options are explained to the customer.  The only way to get a proper quote is to bring the vehicle in and have a mechanic and our parts department create a estimate.
