Calgary‘s best sunrooms under the owner of Danny F. Mislead consumers, says he’s going to do a job, services are never rendered but your deposit is taken. Once you try to communicate with this business you no longer hear from him. And when you cancel and ask for your money good luck. This business is under the consumer investigations unit service of Alberta has opened investigations into the entire activities of Danny Z operating as Calgary best Sunrooms. Do not use this business.

We had a sunroom with a balcony off our Master Bedroom installed a couple years ago that has NEVER not leaked. Danny attempted the repair twice but it still leaks significantly every time we have rain. This year again, we find our sunroom leaking not only into the sunroom but now into our living room (in the house). We called Danny again and he sent someone who we believed he placed in charge to come and determine what the issue was. After examining the leak he's determined that our door off our Master bedroom was installed backwards up above the sunroom. Danny assured us after expressing so much concern over the past couple years about the leak he would warrenty his work and ensure that they stopped this horrible leak. This year, Danny has put us off, refused to call me, barely responds to emails and won't allow the person he's put in charge to fix the issue! From what we've been told because we requested the door to swing outward and Danny believes that it's our "fault" that the door was installed backwards and is avoiding us. I personally have never installed an exterior door in my life! Danny has informed us that he's been ill and unable to do anything due to his health yet refuses to allow the person in charge to make any decisions. We've express numerous concerns about the leak and the fact that we could have mold growing if this isn't handled sooner than later. We've also requested that we hire another contractor to come and repair the door situation and the damages from the leak and send him the bill if he's not able to uphold his workmanship...again without a response from him.

on July 29, 2019, *** and I signed an agreement to build my sunroom, with price of $*** and I paid the deposit and other 1/3 on delivery. They said that they will build my sun room in about one month. However, so far, it's already Mar of 2020. They do not show up to do their work.
I called Danny, he told me no cash flow and manpower. But I already paid them***.
The sub-contractor of foundation, has been finished the foundation but he does not get pay from Danny, so he sent me "Alberta Land Titles" to me.

In mid August of 2019 a contract was signed for a proposed sun room here in SW Calgary, for an estimated $24,000.
The deposit of $8000 was taken from my Credit card virtually the same day.
I patiently waited for 3 months for some reply from Danny *** as to the progress of the sun room.
Contacting him through his phone answering service Danny *** came to my house and offered me a verbal contract for the sun room for 18,000 to commence in March of 2020, The excuse he used was that his drug smoking workers had ripped him off for money and he could not give me back the $8000 at the time. I contacted his answering service the next day for a written agreement. I was told by Danny *** to follow the original paper cancellation agreement to have my $8000 returned, and that I was destroying his business.
As of today further court proceedings to obtain the $8000. deposit from Danny *** has now been taken.

We had Calgary Best Sunrooms replace the roof over our deck after it was damaged due to hail. Mike and Danny were great to work with, the job was done professionally and all cleaned up afterwards. Follow-up calls were made to check on the work. Would use again.

We had a 3 season dual pane sunroom built in February of 2017. There have been numerous issues since the winter build. 1) the is a structural failure in one beam in the roof and its sagging since it was built. They have sent people out three times to try and fix it. The last time was a year ago and it's still sagging. 2) The seals are not all the way to the top of the panes and allow moisture in between the panes. 3) The last time they were here, the broke a pane in the roof and have never replaced it. 4) the grouting around the door is so badly done I can see outside and let's heat out. I have had nothing but excuses and empty promises to fix these issues from Danny *** I have heard you're next for more than a year. They have said the only way to fix the sunroom is to take it all apart and rebuild it. And now he's quit accepting my calls. It's really sad he's taking advantage of my 87 year old mother. It was a $42,000 sunroom. I WILL REMOVE THIS POST WHEN THEY EITHER FIX THESE ISSUES OR GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY.

I had Calgarys Best sunrooms do a three season sunroom addition to my home in Calgary. Danny came to my home and explained everything to me, showed me many pictures of other sunrooms they have done and I was hooked! The sunroom was done to all the specifications exactly how I wanted it and even though they had to come back twice, they have done a superb job. the staff is all very knowledgeable, professional, easy to talk to and actually make you feel like a customer not just anyone they can talk down to. We discussed any concerns I had and I absolutely LOVE THE SUNROOM FINISHED PRODUCT! I us it all the time. People that come over and see it are in awe of the beauty, workmanship and the quality. They cannot believe how much bigger it makes the house feel. Not only do I love the privacy wall on one side, instead of being all acrylic; this is exactly what I asked for and I am so glad I decided to go that way. Just a hint of privacy and all the time, loving the smell of cedar! the best part I think, is that I am out of the weather elements .There are windows on every side, large patio door and locks. Trust me, I CANT LIVE WITHOUT MY CALGARYS BEST SUNROOMS!!! They always contacted me to let me know when they would be here to do any work. They were punctual, clean and removed all garbage upon completion.
All the staff/workers/owner have gone out of their way to accommodate my wants and needs and to this day, I value their workmanship and also...their friendship. I know that should I ever have any problems or concerns in the future, they will definetely return my calls and resolve them. Just remember:
You treat people how you want to be treated yourself and all the rest will fall into place. That is how I feel with Calgarys Best Sunrooms...respect!

I'm a real estate agent with /*** in Calgary. My family and I were looking to do a patio cover on the upper deck of our walkout home. We have a south facing backyard and the floor of the deck can get unbearable not to mention 80% of the time we close all of the curtains for the south windows as the home heats up significantly. I interviewed several companies and extensively researched polycarbonate, tempered glass, and acrylite. We ended up going with this company because we liked the idea of having a see through ceiling and uv block. I am so thrilled with our decision. The entire process was seamless, and the structure looks amazing. It really looks like a high end product. A couple of days ago I was at a clients acreage and they had done a sunroom recently with another company, and I couldn't believe it. It was night and day. The product and the installation felt so DIY and cheap. I really dodged a bullet as that was a company I had interviewed with polycarb. I expected it to be cooler under the cover but never imagined that it would actually keep our home cool as well. All of our curtains are open during the day now and we're loving it. The other companies told me a lot of stories about acrylite to try to deter me, but the product and the technology and installation have come so far. Don't listen to it. If you want a luxurious feel to your patio cover or sunroom and want it to do what you paid it to do then call these guys. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions. I m complaint Calgary best sunroom that they install my house sunroom for $12000 and its leaking for almost two years. its was leaking a week after the install date. at first they try to fix it with a caulking gun then they give it up after a two weeks and walked away. I tried to call danny so many time and he finally put me through the insurance which now the insurance said its not cover due to bad install. he now just walk away from this mess. I m asking for help.
