Review: On March 30, 2013 we purchased a birthday cake with a Spider-man theme for our son's birthday. Upon receiving the cake and paying the bill, we learned that we were over charged for the cake. A phone call to the owner, [redacted], as soon as we discovered the discrepancy, led to an understanding that her employee quoted us the wrong price of $34.99 (when we paid 49.99). We were charged the higher price and Debbie was willing to refund us the $15.00 difference due to the misunderstanding. She promised to write a check and mail to our home address the following week. We never received our $15.00 check, so we would like to open a complaint with the Revdex.com for resolution.Desired Settlement: We'd like the $15 check promised to us by the owner, [redacted].

I do recall the mentioned party in requires to a spider man cake she was over charged for.

I cannot say weather a credit was returned to her back on her credit card or if I stated I would mail her a check since so much time has passed between the time of the order and present. Whenever I state I will mail something I also state if they do not receive it by the end of the week they should call me back and let me know. No phone call was ever made. This matter could have been easily solved by a simple return phone call to me.

I will check with the account to see if a credit was returned to her on her credit card if she would call me and re give me the credit card number and the date of purchase. I do believe a credit was returned to her but cannot say for sure.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Called Friday night shortly before they closed, for a special cake order I needed for my son's 22nd birthday on Saturday. They were VERY accommodating. Took my order in a kind professional manner, Picked up my cake on Saturday and it was amazing. Decorated exactly as I had hoped and it was absolutely delicious. Though this cake shop is quite out of the way for me, I am glad I listened to the recommendation of a few people to get my cake from Cakes While U Wait.
