- For 2 WEEKS my AC unit was out, and the house was 97*+ during the summer with a 10-day old baby.
- I asked several times for a new refrigerator and was told “NO” we can fix it every time. I experienced food loss each time and I asked to be reimbursed the last two times it went out and still to this day I haven’t received a dime.
-We are forced to pay for valet trash services and yet we were always left “holding the bag” literally.
-Package delivery issues were a nightmare
During my move out I hired a cleaning service to deep clean and sanitize, I had the carpet professionally cleaned and had the entire unit painted (Doors, Trim, and Walls) I spent more than my $450 deposit to ensure the unit was left in perfect condition. I asked both the Property Manager Taylor Layne and Assistant Manager Veronica Norman to walk the unit with me and they repeatedly stated “You took really good care of the place, the carpet looks good to be 5 years old, no damage to the walls, its move in ready”. Although that sounds reassuring, I recorded the entire walk-through and was told everything looked great. I will post on social media to bring awareness that they have inexperienced individuals playing Office Manager at the tenant’s expense.
Now they want to rob me of my deposit and fabricated damages creating a balance due of $27.75, Had I not called to get an update on my close-out statement the $27 would go to collection unknowingly because they purposely didn’t mail me the final bill, I had to request a copy after 45 days post-move-out “crooked and untrustworthy” actions for sure. They didn’t want me to know that they charged me for the carpet I'm sure, I asked for proof of damage listed on my move-out statement, and they showed me a picture of water damaged carpet a 3’x 1.5” section by the patio door most likely from the heavy rain as the property was obviously poorly constructed and the glue no longer held down that section of the carpet causing it slightly pull away. I know this because I’m an insurance executive and specialized in identifying damage and cause of loss. The sickening part of this whole this is that they are making it all up just to steal a couple hundred dollars. I’m not in need of the money by any means but it’s the principle of the matter that they try to take what’s rightfully yours. For that reason, I’m proceeding with small claims for my food loss and deposit so I can donate the money to charity as I’d rather have a child in need have the money than a shady property management company CAF Capital Partners.
