Cactus Petes Resort Casino

On 23 October my wife and I visited Cactus Pete's for a weekend get-away. We go there quite often, or should I say we used to go there. When I made the reservation there was not a room available for the 23rd & the 24th in the tower, so a reservation was made in the Horseshu for the 24th. Upon arriving to check in, a bell boy checked us in and I explained about the different room reservations and asked if he would check to see if something had come open. He did and said that there was a room that we could have for both nights in the tower however it was a smoking room, (we don't smoke). I told him that was ok, we could live with that as long as I didn't have to change rooms on the 24th. Check in was completed and I put a credit card down for incidentals. On the 24th about 6 PM we were going into the buffet to eat and I asked the cashier to put the charges on my room. After giving her the room # she told me that no one was in that room. I gave her my drivers license and she said I was not a registered guest at the hotel. Very embarrassing having 20 or 30 people that were in line behind me over hear this conversation that made it sound like I was trying to rip the restaurant off by charging my dinner to a room that I was not even registered in. I called the front desk and asked to speak to the manager, a male got on the phone, (I did not get his name). He said that I did not have the room for that night and that he had been trying to reach me since 430 PM that day. 2 things cause me not to believe that is completely true. 1) We were in the casino all day up to the time we went to dinner and no page was made asking me to come to the front desk. 2) There was not message on my room phone, no message or missed calls on my cell phone, no emails. I was simply checked out of the hotel and removed from the registered gusts data base. I went to the front desk to speak to him and he didn't even have the courtesy to come speak to me face to face. A female showed up and during the conversation, not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" was offered. I removed my baggage from the room at 7 PM and drove 4 hours home. I will never stay at Cactus Pete's again. The sad party is that they don't care. Some other fool will take my place losing in the casino and being treated rudely. ","neg-1
