We purchased the cabinets on Presidents Day of this year, Feb. 17, 2020. They told us the cabinets would be in approximately 7-10 days. We came back home and had our cabinets removed. They contacted us the following week and said this style had been discontinued. I had major back surgery on Jan 3rd and we had to drive back down there to pick out more cabinets. We waited about another month for the cabinets to arrive. The installer came up with the cabinets, however he saw that they would not fit properly and only installed a few uppers. When we purchased the cabinets, they did a 3-D version so my wife could see the product. When the installation was started, we realized that we were going to lose a 17 inch upper cabinet and another space along side the window. The installer stopped after being here all day. About 3 weeks later, they brought more cabinets, lower cabinets, and the installer did not install because the design was faulty with not being able to open drawers due to hitting handles on the other cabinets. After 2 days of installation, we only have 5 cabinets installed. After a couple of discussions with the district manager, we told them to come pick them up and we will not pay for them. He said he would take them back, but I had to pay for the installation ($4500). We said no way and we would see them in court if necessary. I know of another person in Myrtle Beach that had to threaten them with a lawyer before they took those cabinets back. My wife has been washing dishes in the bathroom sink since February 22. If there is anything you can do to help us we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
Refund We want our money back.
We have all the signed documentation to support this sale, from design, terms and conditions, installation satisfaction report, and the customer lost their credit card charge back due to these documents.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We did sign off on the original drawings, however no explanation was given as to what we would lose in cabinets. I also signed the installation page so that the installer would get paid, that is the only reason and he will testify to that. We have photos to prove the design was unacceptable and we were not told of the issues with the cabinets.
Our contract states "The customer is responsible for the final design approval" Secondly, signing the satisfaction report is deemed acceptance.
