Review: I purchased some rifles from an auction house and they used California Police Equipment for the FFL transfer. When my FFL dealer received the 3 rifles they were shocked at the packaging and took pictures. When I went to pick them up they told me they left things as they were so I could see the very poor packaging. We removed them one at a time. Good news is that 2 of them had only slight bumps in the wooden stocks. But one, a Pedersoli Sharps Carbine had a chip in the wood. I called the FFL dealer and spoke with [redacted], The manager. I explained the issue and he said " so what is your point". He said they don't get paid for packaging. But they do charge a $70 handling fee which he said was for the paper work. He also told me that shipping 3 rifles in one box with one small piece of paper stuck in there was not an issue to him. I said he had poor customer service. His reply, who do you think you are? I would like to have the stock replaced as the chip devalues it.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a replacement stock or the cost there of.

Response:
the guns were bought form tnt auction as is where is he has never seen the guns before they were bought. he hired us to ship the guns buy ups we were told not to insure the guns. if there was no chips of wood in the package so there was no damage while in the box , if there was damage then he needs to contact ups about the damage while being ship. or tnt.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
The rifles were just stuck in a box with no protection except one small piece of paper. As I was told by the store manager " we don't get paid for packing. The fee is for the paper work" When I told him about the rifles condition his reply was " SO". That tells me he has absolutely no concern for the condition of the items shipped. I have a picture of the rifles in the box which were taken by the FFL dealer whom received them. The lack of responsible packaging is very evident.
