Company requiring a huge one and will not give explanation why or provide copy of my credit they pulled.
Attempted to have power turned on in a new apartment. I've had power with them previously for years. I have great payment history with them for the last 7 years and outstanding credit. Company claims they pulled my credit through Experian but will not give me an explanation of why a deposit is required. I pulled my credit and it is clean with an outstanding score. Company keeps saying 'because that's the way it is', but will give no explanation. I have also asked for the report they pulled and they have refused to provide me with that. They are the only power company in town so they know that they can do what ever they want and no one has a choice. The customer service people I spoke with were extremely rude and had no idea what they were talking about. One guy tried to tell me they had sent me to collections for my last account. I was online looking at my payment history at the time of the conversation and that was not true. I stated this to him and he said 'I was just assuming.'
