They call me about a bogus 11 year old debt and tried to harass me into settling with them for $1000. When I said no and hung up they had a Fake call come in the the caller ID as METRO GOVT OF N(ashville)
And someone said “I’m just talking a statement from you about a debt before making any final decisions. And I said this isn’t my debt bc I’ve never had an Old Hickory Credit Union acct before, so what should I do? The guy on the line goes, “ I’d talk to them if I were you because yall can come to a settlement or an agreement and no further action will be required. So I did….
I was bullied and feared into paying a $1000 settlement bc my ex had an OHCU bank acct and she made me think maybe he did this? Also she said I had to pay now or else she can’t keep the $1000 deal she just got me. Then I got off the phone and did some research and called Capital one immediately. I told them I payed before realizing it was possibly a scam and they found reason to believe so as well because they refunded the $1000.
Chadworth and Macon called and left aVM when realizing they wasn’t getting my money and said I just committed fraud bc they have me on a recorded line saying I’m paying $1000 and then turned around and told my CC company I had no knowledge of it. I told them that’s not true bc that’s not what I told my CC company and they tried to scare me again. And it almost worked until I saw all these posts. So thank you all
