C & J Sewer Treatment Systems

Review: C & J Sewer Treatment Systems came out to install a sewer treatment system for me at a home I just purchased. I contacted them on April 10, 2016. The 811 (call before you dig) ticket for my property was ordered on April 11, 2016. The work was done on May 3, 2016. While installing the system a gas line from my house was hit during the dig. The owner, Charles S[redacted] assumed it was an old water line and continued the job. When I got home that evening (11pm) there was an obvious, strong gas smell right over the dig site and the gas company was contacted. They came out, confirmed a gas leak and turned my gas off. First thing the next morning I contacted Mr. Si[redacted] to let him know about the leak and asked him for help. His reply was "I don't know what to tell you. We didn't hit a gas line, just an old water line." I then called a plumber out to find the leak and cap off the pipe that was hit. Because Mr. Si[redacted] was not willing to come show where the lines where he hit, it took 2 days of work for the plumber to find and fix the pipe/leak. The plumbing bill was $2100 and Mr. Si[redacted] is not taking responsibility for hitting the line. Since this has all happened I also found out that the gas utility company never came out to mark the gas lines and Mr. Si[redacted] continued with the job anyway. C & J is now avoiding my calls and letters. I talked with both Mr. and Mrs. Si[redacted] initally and neither could offer me any type of resolutiion.Desired Settlement: I would like C & J Sewer to refund me for the plumbing bill. $2100

At this time, I have not been contacted by C & J Sewer Treatment Systems LLC regarding complaint ID 11465769. They ignore my calls. I will be taking them to small claims court on July 7, 2016
