When I brought my 2004 [redacted] to Midas for an oil change, they suggested I get a coolant/radiator flush, so the next time I scheduled an appointment for an oil change, I scheduled the flush to be done as well. This flush was permormed on 11/02/13. Before they permormed this service, one of the mechanics came & told me that they did a test to make sure there weren't any leaks in the radiator & they said there were not any so they could perform the flush. He had me look under the [redacted] which was on a lift to show me an oil leak that I had & there were no leaks coming from the radiatior area at that time. So on 11/10 I noticed a green puddle of fluid in front of my vehicle(I normally back in my driveway so I don't usually walk in front of it) & I opened my hood to find the reserve coolant tank was completely emtpy. I called Midas the next morning & told them about the issue, they said to bring it in so I did the same day. The manager came & got me to show me the leak(I knew where it was leaking from because I looked under the vehichle). I said that it must have been caused by the coolant flush they did because it wasn't leaking when I brought it in the week before & he said no it could not have been. He was not willing to fix the leak. I called his manager & spoke with him the same day, explained to him what happened & he acknowledged that the flush could have caused a leak to occur but was not willing to repair the leak at no charge & he did not offer to reimburse me for the flush, he said the only thing he could do is give me a discount off of a future reapair, but I would not feel comfortable having them do more work on my [redacted] after this issue. I was not told before the flush was done that it could cause a leak, if so I wouldn't have let them do it. I now have to pay someone else to repair the leak. The flush was $87.99 plus tax.
