My car payment was due on a Friday but I left to Puerto Rico to assist with the hurricane and was unable to make a payment, Jd towed my vehicle that Saturday morning. I wasn’t behind on payments. My *** went to the location to retrieve our belongings as we had just moved to a new location and she was able too. She forgot to get my birth certificate and cellphone from the vehicle so she went back to the location to do so. Upon arriving and asking a sales rep he mention that she have to speak with my finance advisor so she proceed to do so. The young lady refused to give my *** our personal belongings because the young lady dislike my *** due to a prior incident. The lady stated she don’t have time to deal with my *** today and she need to get out her office. My *** ask to speak with a manager and the young lady proceed to call another young woman and said “*** can’t get the items out of the vehicle can she?” And the lady stated no. My *** got upset because she was able to get the baby car seat and put her items out the first time and now she wasn’t able to get my personal documents due to the financial advisor having a personal feeling towards her. I called the location because I’m in Puerto Rico to see if my *** can get the items and Jessica stated she was not dealing with my ***. I ask them can they email me over a form that I can fill out that my *** can get my belongings and they stated I can’t get any of my items until I pay off my loan. Instead of handling everything professionally I think they made the situation personal. I called and spoke with the manager Drew and he still refuse my property and giving me the run around and it’s not fair. When a payment is due couple days before they would harass me via text and threaten to have my car taken if I don’t make a payment on time and that’s exactly what they did that Saturday. I mention to the lady that I was In Puerto Rico working and my *** would have to get my items and she told me I was lying and their tired of hearing my lies.
While we are disallowed by law from discussing account information, we can clearly say that we do not repossess accounts unless they have breached their Retail Installment Contract. In the matter concerning the retrieval of his personal property, his ***" admitted that she is not his wife she is Ms.. She had been asked to leave on a prior occasion to coming in the store for abusive language and veiled threats. She did not receive any property from the vehicle as she is not a 3rd party. Our customers must designate in writing for 3rd parties to communicate about their account or to retrieve personal property. When she was refused any property from the vehicle she began to be abusive and make threats to employees. He was offered to have someone else be listed as 3rd party to help with reclaim or personal belongings but due to Ms. abuse of employees and threats in store he was asked to designate someone else as 3rd party. When he spoke with us again we reminded him that to protect his property we would have to have a 3rd party designated and offered to email him all documentation. We made all efforts to satisfy this account even agreed to a reclaim if he were interested. When we spoke with him he understood on both occasions why she was not allowed to reclaim property.
