Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: there is a radical difference in the color and growth rate of the sod thecontractor installed.  The picture he provided was of an area of the lawn where the installed sod was of a highquality.  That area is not in dispute.I have expressed my dissatisfaction with the quality of the disputed sodrepeatedly since the day of install.  Thecontractor came to my home several times and inspected the sod and said it justneeded water, or it just needed more time. He has repeatedly assured me thatthe sod was all bought at the same time from the same place.  On June 17, the manager of the sod providerand the contractor came to my home and inspected the sod again.  The sod company manager said I was and hadbeen giving it adequate water and that he could not account for the asymmetryof the color, growth and general healthy appearance of the sod but it just needtime to even out.  He said I should giveit a month and the sod would all even out. I agreed with the contractor at that time that I would wait a month forthe substandard sod to correct itself to the level of the green healthy soddepicted in the contractor’s picture. To Whom It May Concern:RE: Complaint #[redacted]On 6/6/15 I picked up premium blend turf for [redacted]'s sod intall which was completed before 11 am 6/6/15.  The attached receipt shows the sod was purchased from [redacted] 6/6/15.  I only purchase sod from...

[redacted] and have never had any complaints regarding the quality of the product.Also attached is the signed contract between By The Yards Landscaping and [redacted].  Please note the yellow highlighted area states, "Contractor will deliver and install live, green sod. Homeowner is responsible for care of sod after install."  After the sod install and completion of contracted projects [redacted] paid the remaining balance due for all projects and was happy with the work performed.  Since the tempature was 87 degrees the day of sod install and over 90 degrees for the next several days I informed [redacted] he would need to water at least one hour twice per day.  I also informed him that it takes 2-3 three weeks for the root system to establish itself in the new location and the lawn to blend.  Beginning Monday 6/8/15 and every day thereafter I responded to [redacted]'s concern regarding weather or not his sod was thriving.  I drove to his home and personally inspected the sod on three different occasions.  I informed [redacted] that he needed to water more due to the intense heat.  I also spoke with [redacted] at [redacted] and was informed that [redacted] had visited them several times and was instructed to water more.  Attached is the photo of the sod taken today 6/15/15.  The sod is live, green and already beginning to blend even though it was layed only 10 days ago.  The sod is thriving and [redacted]'s complaint is completely baseless as proven by the attached photo showing the current condition of the sod.I spoke with [redacted] today 6/15/15 while at his property to obtain a photo of the current sod condition.  He told me that he was angry that I refused to guarantee to replace the sod in the event he is still unhappy with how the sod has blended after the 3 weeks has past.  The contract offered no guarantee and places the full responsibility of the care upon the homeowner.  This project is complete as per the contract and has been paid in full. By The Yards Landscaping[redacted]Olympia, WA 98513[redacted]@yahoo.com
