I put 2000$ down on a *** that was originally priced at 4600$
I had not realized the dealer had put the amount of the car on the contract rather than the remaining amount of the car.
I attempted to discuss this with *** Buyrite Auto, he claimed the car was originally 6000$ + and I was ' confused'
I continued to pay the 250$ monthly feeling trapped by my contract.
A couple months later the front end of the car became unstable (quoted at 2000$ for repairs of wear and tear by *** and he attempted to have me pay him the remaining owing on the car. According to him, after a year of payments of 250$, toward the 4600 loan, he claims I owe 4100$. Even if I want to pay off the principal amount entirely. He claimed the car was no longer worth selling and was going to send it to the wreckers and get 300$ for it and put that toward the apparent 4100$ I had owing. And followed by trying to convince me to then refinance yet another vehicle from him.
I informed him that this is not ok. And that he cannot exceed the principal amount.
I continued to attempt to negotiate *** entirely, but he continues to force me to pay the 250 monthly rather than allowing me to pay it off.
Today, he removed my vehicle from*** property and will not return it. He did not inform me, or use a baliff to collect the vehicle. He is an independent dealer with no financing business registeration, and I have paid 2/3 of both the amount of the car and the amount of the loan. I have requested the return of the car, but he will not. And continues to intimidate me I to paying monthly rather than paying it in full.
I need this vehicle ***
I am at my wits end, ***

Initial Business Response /(1000, 5, 2018/02/21) */
Nov. 4, 2016 the complainant purchased a*** from Buy-Rite Auto Sales. The agreement stated that she pay $5,995.00 plus *** fee of $10 plus a plate and licence fee of $150.00 which gave her new plates and registration for the vehicle.
The total was $6,005.00 plus 780.00 (sales tax) plus the $150.00 registration fee. She put $2,000 down and financed the balance of 4935.65 plus the interest of $1,395.60 for a total of $6,371.25. This amount was to be paid back in 25 monthly payments of $254.85. The vehicle was certified and transferred. As a part of the agreement, she did not have to make payments until February of 2016. She was informed at the time of purchase that insurance coverage was required showing Buy-Rite Auto Sales as the protected lien holder.
A few months after she got the car I paid a visit to her dwelling because she was late in her payment. Shortly after, she got caught up. She then continued paying to the end of May and then stopped making payments. Two months later which was the end of July she borrowed the money *** to bring the payments up to date. As of November of 2017 she has not made another payment. A couple of attempts were made to contact her but were unsuccessful. In Feb. of 2018 I received notice that the insurance on the vehicle indicating my position as lien holder was to be cancelled by the 4th of March 2018.
*** Bill of Sale which deals with non-payment, I repossessed the vehicle in order to protect my asset. Since I was the creditor I repossessed the vehicle myself. I have included that Bill of Sale showing the original purchase and financing terms as well as the conditions that outline the consequences of non-payment. I have also included a sheet showing how much she has paid and what she still owes.
As far as the vehicle not being certified I would suggest that her compete lack of maintenance during the period she put 31,000 km. on the car and the obvious vehicle abuse is the root of the problem.
I have also informed her that I will dispose of the vehicle for as much as I can get for it, but based on it's condition, it is highly unlikely that I can realize anything near what she owes on it.
Her personal problems are not part of the contract nor do they form any part of the agreement.
