Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Firstly, I know the system was down because you sent me an email outside the system informing me of this and requesting to communicate via my personal email. I was fine with this, as I would really like to close this up sooner rather than later. I emailed you back immediately and sent 8 photos of damage done to my couch. In addition to the damage in the photos, the back on the right side (if you are standing in front of it and looking at it) is damaged and loose now. I've reattached the photos again. Secondly, I did take your movers to multiple stairs. We used one set and after I could see them shoving my couch and I could tell it wasn't going to fit, I took the movers to go look at the other sets of stairs available. The second set we walked up to your movers insisted on using and said they needed to hurry as they were running late to their next job, again this wasn't my fault as your movers arrived late to my job to begin with. I said multiple times at this point lets look at all sets of stairs so this can be as easy as possible. They picked the set they used. As for damage was to be expected to be made to my furniture or the property itself, that is a silly statement. Why would anyone hire movers if they wanted damage done to their furniture?! A person hires movers, in the expectation they know what they are doing. In any case, your movers did cause damage to the first elevator as they continued to try and cram my couch in it. I already took care of those damages with my apartment unit. The 3rd guy there offered to put my bed together, since the other 2 were moving the couch. If 2 movers had arrived as I had hired, I would've never asked them to put my bed together, as I didn't even ask that day (though it was very nice of him to do it, he didn't cause any damage), I hired 2 movers to move furniture not put anything together. As for the damages, I've go ahead and straight-line depreciated the couch. The average life of a couch right now is 8 years, and I paid $799 (I can provide the original purchase document if needed) for the couch almost exactly 5 years ago (March 18, 2011). So the value of the couch is $299.63. I also found a website that does calculates this for you (www.splitwise.com) and it valued the couch at $232.40. I'm comfortable splitting the difference and accepting $266.01 in addition to the returned $40 tip that was coerced from me. So in total $306.01. Sincerely,[redacted]

Sorry For The Late Response The Moving Help New System Was Down. Tips Are Not Mandatory We Will Gladly Send Your $40 Back Please Provide Us With An Address And That Will Be Refunded. As Far As Your Couch, It Was A Difficult Task To Get Your Couch To Your New Home Being That The Couch Is Bigger Than...

The 4 Flights Of Stairs Walkway. Their Was Bound To Be Damage Somewhere Either To Your Property, The Apartment's Property, Or To Our Guys. To My Knowledge There Was Turn After Turn All The Way To The 4th Floor. Our Guys Do What They're Told And They Were Told To Take The Stairs You Could've Told Them No, "Not The Stairs Just Leave My Couch On The 1st Floor I'll Get It To The 4th" It Was Either Leave It Or Take It Up, No One Wants To Leave Their Couch In The Lobby, So They Took It Unfortunately. I Guarantee It Wasn't Their Decision To Walk Up To The 4th Floor With A Couch Stairs Are Never Fun But The Elevator Wasn't Coming. We Have To Come To An Mutual Agreement With This Couch Situation. Can you send us pictures of the damage for starters and your address or anyway that we can send your $40 back to you. I understand there's more than 1 flight of stairs but to my knowledge you guys had to find that flight they took so a different case of stairs wasn't an option they took the stairs you showed them, an whose to say those stairs had a bigger walkway no one went to find the other stairs neither you or the movers. We sent 3 workers if we had stuck with 2 you would've definitely went over your 2 hours, while those guys were struggling with your couch you had another mover assembling furniture and transporting furniture to and from, gauranteed you would've went over your 2 hours, it doesn't matter how many pieces you have to move its the process of moving the pieces and your whole process was difficult all of this could've been avoided if you would've went by protocol and reserved the big elevator like it's supposed to be done but we had to work around that as well, others using this small elevator that's another reason it took so long, you have to reserve the proper elevator especially when everything is small, the stairwells walkways, the elevator that was used initially, and the hallways to the units. It was perfect until the elevator issue if the proper elevator would've been reserved we wouldn't have this issue.
