This company is a joke. They have very severe issues with their shipping process and their customer service experience. Put in two separate orders and paid extra to get them delivered on a certain date. The second order, that was placed 3 days after the first, arrived just fine however the first order, never did. They refused to issue a refund due to the 2-3 day shipping, that I paid extra for, is "non guaranteed." Good things there's hundreds of business that do the same thing so find another provider won't be an issue.
A+ experience - customer service was great in helping me with the image I wanted to use and shipping was fast. Highly recommend!
This company lacks good customer service. I placed an order nearly 2months ago. Initially I was told my photo needed more resolution. Sent a different and heard nothing more. When I contacted them their response was "never received it, went to tell me about their cancellation policy or credit for a future order" I told them to keep their $5 , credit my card and how they have poor customer service. Their 2nd response: " My manager said to keep you happy you will receive a full refund". Was never about the $5, it's how poorly you communicate and follow up with your orders! A bit of advice you should never use the words "to keep you happy" with any upset/concerned customer especially when it's your own doing.
For the last couple of years build a head has been a part of our families BIG celebrations.... High school graduations, Our soldiers return from Afghanistan, baby's birthday, baby shower, you name it. Then this last order changed it all. Today is a very important moment in my daughters life... It's not everyday that your only daughter graduates with a Bachelors Degree, it's not every day that this happens to be your only child to graduate from college. It's not everyday that she is the only one of our immediate family to graduate with honors. But she will be the only one in our family to graduate or celebrate without seeing her head larger than life to find us in the crowd as she walks across that stage. While I am grateful for the full refund I am deeply disappointed at the lack of communication I received from this company. AlThough my money may only be a drop in the bucket I still feel that I deserve to know why and what happened that my time and money was not worth the effort to fulfill my order. Our tradition is now broken and it took forever for me to even receive an acknowledgement. I have recommended this company to several people who marveled at the sight of our family waving our heads at the high school graduation of our son and at the airport when our soldier returned from Afghanistan. I just don't want to imagine the look on my daughters face later today as she walks across that stage expecting to see her face just like we surprised the others and it won't be there. I am literally crushed that she will not receive the same reception as my others have. But even more disappointed that it seems like it didn't matter to this company. Unfortunately it may be the deciding factor of if I will do business with them again.
Words cannot express my disappointment.
I am using Build a Head for a "Wall of Fame" for office recognition- we place regular monthly orders with the company and all are always delivered within the 2 days promised and are very high quality. We use the 2 foot heads and the employees love them. I will use Build a Head for personal needs as well.

We ordered a couple of big heads for one of our events, since the event was coming up we selected 2 day shipping. When the heads arrived one of them was the wrong face. Build-a-head was unable to ship the missing product before our event took place.
These were so awesome for our highschool football team. The only advice I can give is don't use screen shots use a flash if you are using your phone. Ours came out fantastic!
Build a head markets on their website that they offer $5 flat rate ground on ALL orders. In fact, that is ONLY for their slim heads, yet they advertise this $5 price directly below the price for their 2' head. Upon questioning, they state its a website error yet they do nothing to correct that error. I find this deceitful, misleading and false. They are waiting for their consumers to spend time placing their order then they slap them with a $20 shipping fee. Questioning them online and sending an email will produce no resolution or correction of the site. They continue to intentionally deceive their customers.
I am very disappointed with the lack of communication with this company.
Ordered a fathead and head on sticks Saturday...
Paid $59.99 extra for3-day shipping...
They e-mailed me Sunday saying my picture a 5 out of 10~ proceed or give us another picture...
I said proceed....
Charged credit card Monday....
silence...
website said "order Processing" STILL on a Thursday but website says "We rock. We ship next day!"......
Called, e-mailed, called again... no communication.
Finally one e-mail sent Thursday saying "Got it. Your refund will be processed in 72 hours.". NO explanation, no "sorry" , nothing...
WOW~ I would not recommend this business to anyone.
